Save my husband

Chandigarh is a very huge place. The cab stopped by a hotel, I got inside hoping to get a room. Unfortunately everywhere has been filled up.

A man saw me coming out with my bags and made a good suggestion, he made a request I stay at his house since there wasn't any hotel willing to take in new customers at such a time.

As much as I wouldn't want to stay with a stranger, do I have a choice?

The man introduced himself as, Chief Abdul, we got to his house, and damn! It was so fucking huge.

Abdul sent me to the room I would be renting out, I was hoping to find a downbeat room, but I got my tongue-tied the second I stepped into a huge room with every single thing, I needed.

What was I expecting, it huge house, it'd be obvious the room is supposed to be huge right?..

Avanti phoned me a minute later. She had to complain about Pinky's excuses back at home.

While Avanti continued talking on the phone, I looked across the window, I couldn't help but notice a man walking out of the house.

He looks suspicious. I had to cut Avanti short, by begging her not to let Pinky get a hold of anything that belonged to the family.

I left my room afterward, I went outside searching for the exact direction the man must have fled to.

I did see him walking outside the gate, did he perhaps leave? 

Going after a man I don't know looks like something I wouldn't want to do, however, there was something off.

Luckily I met the man getting into the cab, I ran after him and followed and somehow managed to get a new cab on time before it left.

The cab driver I was in followed the man's car.

After driving, we got to a place that was excluded from other apartments around.

I had to ask the cab driver to hide in plain sight, and right there, I met the same man who had walked me into my bedroom, going inside an uncompleted building.

What's his name again, Sanjeev?

He is Abdul's second in command.

Sanjeev had no idea that I followed him.

I got into the building. The entire place was dark, not a single light bulb...

"You're late Sanjeev,".

Thinking of the light bulbs came to be the last thing on my mind, the minute I overheard Karan's voice.

Did he perhaps send Abdul to help me? What's happening? 

"I am sorry for coming late, dad had a lady stay at the mansion,"

Sanjeev reported. He sounded not too pleased by the decision.

Karan however, asked to know who the lady was, and if Sanjeev chose to tell him the truth, by calling my name, I would be in trouble.

My plans to save Abhishek will be ruined, Karan will tell Pinky and that's something I don't think I want.

It seems luck was on my side, Karan got a call at the same moment Sanjeev wanted to call out my name.

That call saved my life.

Karan comes back again, he orders Sanjeev to go back home and await his call for the showdown.

What showdown?...

I continued to stay there, I didn't move, and neither did I breathe too heavily.

Sanjeev left the place, I waited for a while before leaving as well.

I'm happy that I followed him, what if I didn't, I might have not known that Sanjeev and Karan were working hand in hand.

Is this perhaps a sign?.... Is the universe trying to help me find Abhishek?

There was no chance to phone Avanti again, all through the day, I stayed indoors and stared out the window.

Sanjeev and Karan. What kind of relationship do they share?

Morning. I got down for breakfast. Abdul asked them to call me. We met at the table.

His entire family was there. Sanjeev rode in. He sat down next to his dad and pretended to be someone who had nothing to tell.

Abdul left right after he finished his breakfast. I was busy having mine, and his eldest daughter, Kashi begged me to accompany her to the mall.

Are Indians this free Willy? Who am I kidding, Mrs. Anuradha is far from being free with me.

I advised her to get permission from her dad. She nodded and went ahead to meet him...

I waited in the living room. She later comes down to meet me.

"Shall we go?".

She left.

I came running after her. we got into a car and Kashi asked the driver to leave.

A few minutes later, we got to the mall.

Kashi however, wanted me to stay in the car and wait for her. Wasn't she the exact person who begged me to go with her, why the change of mind?..

"I'll be back,".

She slammed the door to the car and walked inside.

The driver looks at me through the rearview mirror, he has this gaze in his eyes as if I had just committed a mistake?....

I got out of the car, after waiting for a least two hours.

Finding Kashi would have been easy if I hadn't collected her number.

The security guard stopped me from going in.

He wanted me to stay back, I tried to get physical with him, however, I overheard that a commotion at the mall had taken place.

Some hoodlums were keeping the customers hostage.

Of all days to get into a huge dilemma, why now?..

I came back to the car. By the look on my face, the driver got the idea that something was wrong.

I got a sting on my tongue while talking about what was occurring at the mall.

He panicked and suggested calling his boss. I watched him do it.

Abdul picked up after letting the phone, hesitant to let him tell the truth, but immediately seized the phone from his hand.

"Ma'am, what are you doing, I'll have to tell my boss,".

He said asking me to return his phone.

I pulled my hands back and made a run with his phone, forgetting that the call was on hold.

How do I save Kashi?......
