Iris's POV

I sighed for the umpteenth time as I tried to push away memories of the incidents that had happened yesterday. I groaned at the remembrance of how I was easily flustered, when he was just trying to apply medicine to bruises that I had ignored.

This was the second time this was happening, and it was all my fault. When he asked me to strip and threatened me with my mother, it turned that he was only trying to check if I was injured from what I told him.

But my body had been reacting otherwise. I guess that's what you get for being a virgin all your life. A pang of guilt hit me as I thought of the words I said about his family.

Honestly, I expected him to hit me or something but he didn't. Flashbacks of how he beat my father because he saw marks on my shoulders, came with full force.

He saved me from the rogues when I tried to escape home, the floweries incident, he came to save me. To think of it, he had been my saviour anytime I got into a mess. Yet, I still couldn't stop b

Iris's POV The rays of the sunlight hit my face and turned on the bed, groaning before slowly sitting up. The curtain was slightly parted, same with the window and the sun seeped in.It was closed, and I was sure that it was that bastard that opened it. Talking about him…how did I get to the bed?I remembered that after much grumbling, and waiting for him to leave, he didn't. Yet he laid comfortably on my bed. I had no choice but to make use of the sofa. Then how did I get here…The idiots must have placed me here. I wondered when he woke up, and when he left. Instinctively, I shifted towards where he laid and sniffed it. His earth and mint scent filled my nose and I closedy eyes. What the hell…I jerked back, shifting away from the place he laid. Dear me,What was I doing? I took several breaths in and out, calming myself. I remembered my silliness yesterday and my face palmed. What was I thinking when I tried to push him off yesterday? The bastard had taken advantage of that and

Lucian's POV “Hm, I’ve been called that many times. It isn't new.” I shrugged.“What do you want from me, Lucian?” She asked, her shoulders dropping.“You.” I said, and watched her go through different stages of emotions before she glared at me.“I want to sleep, and I’d prefer being alone.” She mumbled.“Go ahead.” “I’ll do so when you leave, I want my space.”“There's no such thing as space between husbands and wives.” I said, playing with a piece of cloth. She looked angry, frustrated, tired and exhausted at the same time.“I guess I’ll leave the room for you then, bastard.” She muttered as she made to leave the room.Snapping my fingers, the door banged shot. Her eyes widened as she faced me, before reaching out for the door handle. She tried to pull it opened, but no matter how she tried, it just wouldn't bulge.“Flaunting your powers, huh?” She scoffed, “Undo whatever you did, now.”Her voice was low, stern and commanding like a mother hen scolding her chicks for going stray.

  • BRIDE OF THE BEAST LYCAN KING   Weird Feelings

Iris's POV The shadow idiots laid in the bed with a wide grin in his faces. At this moment, the temptation to punch it off further increased. After much contemplation, I decided to open the door. I'd shield the door with my body so Rhea wouldn't look in, then I'd leave the room with her. When I get back, I'll give the idiots a nice piece of my mind before sending him away.I took a deep breath, throwing Darius one last look before heading towards the door. I raised my hands to the door handle and slowly unlocked it, making sure my body covered the space. I looked forward, but instead of Rhea, it was a man and a familiar scent hit my nose. It was a combination of earth, and mint. Then I slowly looked up to meet a pair of familiar icy blue eyes that I had somehow gotten used to."Lucian." I whispered as my heart skipped several beats. What the hell was he doing here?Wasn't he supposed to be in his study, at work or somewhere?"Work? It's evening girl." That nosy voice whispered.I sc

  • BRIDE OF THE BEAST LYCAN KING   Stranger II

Lucian's POV I sighed, finding Kaiza was looking like a Herculean task. I wondered if it was something Baran would be able to do. I left Zurich's body and didn't bother to clear it.We left the shack and drove off, back to the mansion. It was evening already, and everywhere was very calm. I passed through the garden, expecting to see the musketeers but they weren't there as well.I had to see Gaius, to warn him not to play such stunts with Iris like he did the last time. Ivan had once reported that while Iris and her maids were in the garden having lunch, a dagger had been thrown at her.Plus the musketeers were also in the garden that same time, having their usual picnic. Although Ivan didn't mention names, it was clear he also knew who it was from his tone.It obviously wasn't Ivana, she hadn't really seen and interacted with Iris. Neither was it Michael, all that he loved were food, drinks and fun. Which leaves only Gaius, it was definitely him.He must have sense that Iris was wo

Lucian's POV "Tell me Lucian. How many days does your new prey have before she gets missing? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? What would it be?" Zurich, Mica's brother said as he walked around us in the shack, running his sword on the walls."Who knows." I voiced in reply."It seems you don't have time for jokes today Lucian. Then let's get down to business. Where is Mica?" He asked as his eyes flashed red."I don't want to believe that she's dead, like the rest of your other wives. Tell me where she is and if she's alive, I might spare you. But if she isn't, you know the answer." He said."Okay. What would happen if she's maybe half alive, with her body parts butchered and mutilated? What a beautiful sight." I taunted, enjoying the look of rage on his face."You're doing this to piss me off right? I know she isn't dead." He smiled, but he gripped his sword harshly."Well...hope is a good thing. And Azariel here agrees with me right?" Azariel only glared at me in response."You are cunni

  • BRIDE OF THE BEAST LYCAN KING   Guardian

Iris's POV My eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the dimness of the room. I rose up and stretched my hands towards the curtain, opening it. It was evening already, and everywhere was turning dark.I stood up from my bed, and walked towards the switch, turning on the lights. I was not a fan of darkness or dark places, even during the night, I slept with the lights on. Not that I was scared of the dark, but I just preferred the lights on.But wait a minute, have how did I get here?I remembered I was at the garden with Samantha, Eloise and Rhea. We were painting, then the next moment we were training. And then we started talking and things started to go wrong. I recalled us talking about Lucian, and I suddenly felt overwhelmed and a panging headache.I also recalled walking out of the garden and heading towards my room. But I didn't remember opening the door myself, something gripped me before I collapsed. My eyes widened, it was the shadow. I remembered the feeling of its shadowy hands

  • BRIDE OF THE BEAST LYCAN KING   Mica's Assassin

Lucian's POV It was a wonder how the news was just getting to the council now, especially as it was a very crucial one involving the lives of little girls. This was further shedding light on the fact that someone from the council had a hand in all these."I've just been receiving reports lately on the missing girls." The head council began, "Report has it that they are being snatched away by unknown people. Their locations are being looked into.""We need to find a way to curb this. First it was the Wellington massacre, and I heard little girls were the main target. This would mean that there's someone else behind the scene who wants to use these girls for something we do not know of." He said as he balanced his glasses, peering at the seated men."I'll need the alphas to enforce able guards in every section of their packs. The council will also be doing its part as we would be dispatching various detectives, investigators, and hunters to solve the issue at hand." He continued."If a

  • BRIDE OF THE BEAST LYCAN KING   Shadow

Iris's POV My heart skipped several times, as I read the message again."I see you, your friend from the prison."The only prison I had ever been to, was the one Lucian put me in at the time I tried to escape. The memories of that night came flooding in. From how I sat in the eerie prison, to the shadowy presence and my cry for help. And how Lucian came to my rescue before I blacked out. What does it want from me? I gulped as I darted my eyes about in the garden. The place was calm, and it was like something didn't happen."What's wrong Iris? What does the letter say?" Rhea asked as she stretched her head to take a peek."Urggh. I can't see it." She groaned before snatching the letter and going through the contents."So you have another friend now that we have no idea of, eh?" She queried with her brows raised.Eloise and Samantha also threw me questioning gazes."And when did you go to prison?" Samantha asked, looking puzzled.Oh, scratch that. I didn't even tell them about what ha

  • BRIDE OF THE BEAST LYCAN KING   Council Interest

Iris's POV After the incident earlier, in which Ariel had taken us to the black market to get information from the top wrestler. I was with Samantha and Eloise, and we were painting in the garden. Rhea would join us later.I had been trying my best to avoid seeing Lucian these days after that incident between us. "Your painting is beautiful, milady," Samantha uttered with a smile."Don't flatter me, it isn't all that." I chuckled as I splashed paint on the drawing like I had seen on those YouTube videos. Before I would die of boredom, I decided to paint. Some days back, I had thought of asking Lucian if I could go out, but with the way things were between us now, I didn't think I had the balls to do that.My mind went to the council, and I developed an instant love for it. I loved the building and the way the people were dressed. I have done research, and one can apply to the council. Then there would be physical, oral and written exams. Being a council member sounded more fun than
