Kaliya's

——————-

I heard noises outside this morning, and I had expected the father to cone bang on my site and probably accuse me, but he didn't. My scolding was not over, that I knew, but seeing him speak that way to me was hurting.

If he had not caught me sleeping, maybe I could have lied about getting a response from the goddess, but I was hooked and no lie in my head could cover me up.

The noises had increased, it was the villagers who were wailing about the death of that person. It was unusual and had started to happen every day.

I had heard some chant my name, and some asked that I be called, but surprisingly my father had not spoken to me since morning.

I tried again, tried praying. This time with every guilt and sincerity I had - that brought tears out of my eyes, but yet no response. And father blamed me for that.

Afternoon reached and I remained stuck in my room. I had ignored all Nessa's knocks to be served breakfast and now that she was knocking again, I needed to warn

Kaliya -------------- things were worse, weird and strange, my father had warned the maids and guards in the castle against spreading what went down, things got an even darker shade of worse when uncle kato came this morning with Lumi, my heart couldn't bear to look at either of them. I was on my knees in my father's throne room eyes on the floor, uncle Kato had left not quite long, it was a shocker to hear about what my father did for the kingdom, I know what he did was wrong especially the deceit part but I understand, I don't know if it is because I am guilty of deceit too that I understand what my father had done. "The kingdom is going to fall" my father muttered, since uncle Kato left he had been a zoned out state, just talking to himself and calling my mother's name repeatedly, this was too much for him to bear as well. I hadn't had a wink of sleep cause whenever I close my eyes I keep seeing Lumi's face or the face of some villagers bloodied and battered open, I haven't be

    75. Lumi's PovIt was the next day and none of us could sleep, not with what was brewing in the community and the palace. I had told my father what happened, yet he wanted to hear by himself what his brother had said."I had heard from Lumi. I wish that we talk, as adults"I stood beside Father as he spoke, my eyes cast downward as Alpha Akkar began to speak. His words poured out like a confession."It was my idea to seek Cody's help," he said, his voice laced with regret. "I was the one who offered your daughter, Lumi, as his bride."I felt a lump form in my throat as Father's expression turned from concern to shock and then to anger. He took a step forward, his eyes blazing. "You used my daughter as a bargaining pawn?" Father's voice was low and menacing.Akkar nodded, "I was desperate, Kato. I didn't think about the consequences."Father's anger was evident, and I could feel his pain. He had brought me back to the palace thinking I was overreacting, but now he saw the truth.Akkar

Cody -------------- The more Akkar ranted the angrier I got but I couldn't do anything about it for the sake of kaliya, my princess was hurting and it pierced my soul that there was nothing I could do to stop it, I could easily take her away from here but she wouldn't like that. I for one do not care about what was happening, didn't care that Lumi was hurting or anything, I was only concerned because all of these affected kaliya. "Are you happy now?, you d-" "Shut up Akkar, i have heard enough of you spewing nonsense" I said in a boring tone, he really was pissing me off, kaliya's attention was on me now and so was Lumi, I had watched them argue as kaliya cried trying to talk to her, I got angry each time fresh tears dropped from her eyes, I should just kill everyone instead of wait for the goddess to do it because they were really making me angry, she didn't deserve what was being thrown at her, her only fault was giving me a chance and if I could I would do it all over again.

Kaliya's Pov ——————- I stood frozen, my eyes fixed on Lumi's back as she turned away from me. I knew I deserved her anger, but it still hurt to see the hurt and disgust in her eyes. "Lumi, please listen... I can explain," I begged, my voice shaking. She turned around, her face red with rage. "Explain? Do you think you can explain away what you did? You're supposed to be sacred, pure... but you're just like the rest of them." I took a step forward, my hands stretched out. "Lumi, I—" But she cut me off, her words slowly moving to my system like poison "For your pleasure, for selfish desires, you hurt me. You're no better than the demon you've been with." Like an arrow catapulted into my chest, I began to ache but she spoke the truth. I had been so blinded by my desires that I hadn't thought about how my actions would affect those I loved. "How could you do this to us, to Father? To yourself?" Lumi's voice cracked, and tears streamed down her face. I felt a swelling form in my t

Kaliya’s pov ———————— "You bastard!" My father shouted and Cody just blinked. "Say something;, explain why you did this before I bite you head off" my father said growling, his claws came out and do did his fangs but Cody looked unbothered. "Dad" I called out but he didn't listen to me, I looked at Lumi who was crying and I turned away, what would I say? I couldn't even bring myself to stop shaking and explain before my father shifted fully and turned this place bloody. "Leave him alone!" I called out, louder this time because I dared not try to get in between them. "After everything, I warned you, you still came into my home and defiled our goddess, how low of you, I should call the guards and let them take your blood, you fool" "Don't be haste Akkar" Cody said and I shook my head, my eyes were already brewing tears, they were going to kill each other. "L-lumi I" She looked away, she was crying as well but she was also calling out to my father not to kill Cody, did she love

Kaliya’s pov ———————- No, no, this was not happening, it's a bad dream! It had to be a bad dream, a very terrible one. "This is not happening, tell me this is a dream Cody and I haven't woken up" I said pacing the room frantically, Lumi had rushed out to go call my father and I knew once he came here there was nothing I could do, everything was going to go up in flames. "It is not a dream kaliya and leave it to me to handle i-" "You cannot handle shit Cody, this doesn't have much on you, my father is going to find out that I have been defiled and so is the rest of the kingdom, I have let my people down and they are about to find out, and I- did you see her face?" I asked, I had no right to be concerned about Lumi at this point but I was, she was going through so much pain because of me, she was hurting because I got covetous and believed I could continue fucking her husband behind her back. "What do you want me to do kaliya? I don't know but I won't leave you alone! I am as muc
