BRIDE OF THE MOON:the demons desire

Prologue._____Alpha Akkar Silver, the Northern ruler of the Denilis Pack looked around his palace one day and a tear fell from his eyes. The kingdom he had ruled for years failed to get better and he had heard the disgruntled reports from his people. He needed resources to be able to maintain his position as an Alpha, else, the rumors that went around saying he was bad luck would in no time vote him out of the throne. So he set out, without informing anyone -even his wife, to the southern part of their world to seek help. The Southern and Northern Islands had never beheld a reason to encounter each other. This was because the Southerners were considered predators and the Northerners, prey. The Southerners were ruled by demons and not just any demon, the incubus demons - that fed on women's lust especially while they slept. They were sexual predators.Reaching the South, Akkar headed to the palace of their King requesting a meeting. He was approved and he proceeded to meet King Cod

Kaliya's Pov _____________Midnight came, but we were still not asleep. It was overwhelming, the stress Lumi had to face for a wedding. I was extremely glad I was part of this process, I wasn't going to experience it anyway, so why not soak in the moment? The first minute I tried closing my eyes to get some sleep in Lumi's room, the door opened and she squealed. "You need to see this" She dropped a dress on the bed. "You are going to be my bridesmaid."I sat up, looking at the dress beside me. "You know that is not possible. I have to stay with father all through the wedding.""No one else can take your place, Kaliya and you don't have to do much. You only have to stay beside me" she said, not waiting for me to say anything, she started to tear the wrap of the dress. "It's a burqa dress specifically made for you, no skin, all covered.""It's beautiful," I muttered, my hand brushing the fabric of the dress. Indeed no one else dressed in a burqa like me, so if I rejected Lumi's offer,

Cody's Pov ___________"Let us have a word, now!" Akkar uttered, trying to sound authoritative in front of his people but all I could see were his dilated pupils which appeared troubled and that soothed my heart. He then whispered something to the other man and led the way. I followed him, not because I was a puppet, but letting him remain in his reverie. Let the others think he was in charge today, I would give him that privilege.Far behind the wedding aisle, Akkar took me to a room and the instant he shut the door, my hands gripped his throat, till his old cranky skin started to redden. "Coward!" I spat on his face. "I see that the North has been doing better than I expected, how do you thank me for that?" He could not speak because I wouldn't let him, I strangled him further till it looked like his eyeballs were going to pop out from his socket. "You sought my help only to play tricks?"His claws dug into my skin causing me to retract from his neck, and he growled at me. "What d

Cody's Pov_________The apple of her father's eyes staring back at me with those eyes that could enslave a man and it hurt to be the only part of her that I could see. I shouldn't let go of that gaze, but she wasn't my bride. Lumi was.And that plan might have changed today if Kaliya hadn't been bought by the moon, already. Of course, I would use the word 'bought' as this decision to stay without a man never came with her consent. She was little and didn't even know what gender was when she was marked. It was inconsiderate of her parent to accept such a ridiculous term. How could they want their daughter to be the savior of the wolves, how could they deprive her of something so ripe and flavored like - sexual demons?I want to rewrite her innocence."And Day one…poof!" Lou sank into the couch in the main living room when we got back. We had rented out the biggest suite in the North for the wedding which Akkar had offered to pay for, but why did I need the boy's money? Kings do not

8. Cody's PovAs she walked past me into the house, my demon shook. Now that she was 'this' close to me, I could see that she was the one with the jasmine scent I had smelled on the marriage day. Since she stood beside Lumi that day, I couldn't tell who the fragrance came from. But now…It was like a slow movement when her scent whiffed by my nose, my eyelids closed and my nose flared as I inhaled her beautiful orange blossom smell. When my eyes opened, it was fixed on her, even while covered in all of that clothing, her beauty made me speechless. When she slowly turned around and met my gaze, I couldn't help but smile, a smile that meant - soon beautiful, you'll be mine.Quickly, she had looked away, joining Lumi in a whispering conversation. "Shouldn't your housekeepers be the ones to open the door?" Akkar's grumpy voice gored my thoughts and as my eyes met his, I frowned."Akkar. You seem grumpy tonight.""Keep your lustful eyes off my daughter" He leaned close to me and grunted t
