Chapter 48

The meeting was over, and Xavier walked out of the room, heading towards his office. During the meeting, Evelyn kept scanning the room looking for Charlotte, until she strained her eyes. She gave up when it seemed Charlotte didn't show up.

Xavier asked her to stay back, he provided her some documents to make some photocopies for him, and it took her a lot of time, she couldn't make it to the meeting.

He needed twenty copies of it, and she didn't finish in time until some few minutes, when the meeting came to an end.

He walked into his office, and met her, coordinating the papers on his desk. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Are you done?" He asked, walking towards her, her attention diverted to him.

"Yes, I'm done, everything you need is here." She responded, still structuring the documents, avoiding eye contact with him.

"Okay, I'm heading out with Ms Evelyn, stay back and finish the job I gave you." He said, and she quickly halt from what she was doing.
