Chapter 4 - Joke

While Tang Yazhu was still feeling aggrieved about the fact that she was ugly, Assistant Fu did not know how to respond to her question.

Assistant Fu truly just wanted to answer, 'Boss just likes to scrutinize people as though they are his enemies.'

"Assistant Fu, please give me a mirror! I believe there must be one in the comfort room! Please, hurry!" Tang Yazhu shouted while touching her.

Hearing her request, Assistant Fu could only look at his boss, his eyes asking, 'Do I do it or not?'

"Go get her a mirror," the young man coldly told him, forcing Fu Chao to walk to the comfort room to grab a mirror for Tang Yazhu.

'Boss, why are you listening to her? Sigh… Why am I grabbing a mirror instead of handling business matters?'

The poker-faced man then looked at Tang Yazhu.

Not being able to find any wound on her face, he asked, "Your face is fine. There's only a bandage on your forehead. Why do you need a mirror?"

"I don't care if I'm wounded or not! I just want to know if I'm an ugly monster or not!" Tang Yazhu exclaimed while touching every inch of her face.

Hearing her exclamation, the young man could only raise a brow in surprise.

'Ugly? What did she mean by that?'

Even though Tang Yazhu currently possessed a pale complexion, it could not hide her fair jade-like skin. If she regained her complexion, she would be even more beautiful than she was right now. Due to this, the young man could not understand her words.

"Miss Ren, here is the mirror."

The moment that Fu Chao handed the mirror to Tang Yazhu, she immediately took the mirror and looked at her face.

The moment that Tang Yazhu did so, she did not know what to say. Her heart could only break again, feeling as though she was being fooled by the world.

"Hey, you're joking with me, right? I can't possibly be alive. I must actually still be dead, right? Ah, this must just be a dream."

In the mirror, Tang Yazhu could see the reflection of her face. Not just any face, but her real face! Her own face that she owned even before she died!

Thinking about it, Tang Yazhu wanted to cry, but no tears came out.

'Does this world like to play with me? Giving me a taste of hope only to crush it when it has landed only a centimeter away.'

Assistant Fu, unable to understand the situation that Tang Yazhu was in currently along with seeing that his boss also could not understand, then asked, "What are you talking about, Miss Ren?"

Tang Yazhu did not listen to Fu Chao anymore, nor did she want to listen.

Putting down the mirror, Tang Yazhu grieved, "Is this the result of me defying the heavens? I don't care anymore… Dead or alive, nothing matters anymore."

As Tang Yazhu said this, she looked extremely down, making her seem super pitiful and cute at the same time.

"Er… Boss, do you think we hit her head too hard? Miss Ren seems… to be going crazy," Fu Chao whispered to his boss only to receive a cold stare from him.

It was also at that moment that Tang Yazhu realized that there was something different about her current face compared to the past. Their eyes! She had a pair of hazel-colored eyes while this face she was looking at in the mirror held a pair of beautiful ocean blue eyes.

With a sudden realization, Tang Yazhu then called out anxiously, "Assistant Fu, did I have anything with me during the accident? Did I bring something like a purse or wallet?"

Hearing her question, Fu Chao walked to a cabinet and grabbed out a ziplock bag filled with different things.

"These are your things. Is there something wrong?" Albert asked, not understanding what was wrong with Tang Yazhu.

At one moment she was sad, then at another moment she would be happy, then later on she would go crazy, and now she was anxious. Was she bipolar or something?

Hopefully, Fu Chao knew that bipolarity did not work like this. It was better to say that she had multiple personalities rather than bipolar.

'Boss, why are you just watching? Can you not say something?'

Poor Fu Chao was being so neglected that he forgot about how his boss did not like to speak much.

While Fu Chao was feeling sorry for himself, Tang Yazhu was busy rummaging through the bag.

After a little shoveling, Tang Yazhu saw a comb, lipstick, pen, and some other stuff, but she just threw them to a random spot on the bed. Eventually, she finally found what she was looking for. The wallet that belonged to the owner!

Tang Yazhu immediately opened the wallet, taking out all the identification cards that were in there. While she was looking at them, she felt like her head was going to burst from the information she was currently receiving. All of these pictures looked exactly like her!

The only exception being the color of their eyes. This brought to the attention of Tang Yazhu only one thing. There must be some connection between the two of them.

It was possible that they were sisters or some kind of relative to each other. Looking back at her memories, Tang Yazhu remembered that both of them grew up in an orphanage. Since both of them were orphans, it only increased the chances of them being related by blood!

She always believed that nothing was impossible and that there was no such thing as coincidences in the world, only possibilities existed.

At the back of her mind, she thought, 'I need to investigate this matter!'

Looking at Tang Yazhu who was quiet in shock, Fu Chao anxiously asked, "Miss Ren, are you okay?"

Regaining her composure and putting the identification cards back in the wallet, she answered, "Yes, I'm fine. I apologize for my actions earlier. Ah, right. When can I leave the hospital?"

"You need to stay here for a few more days since you still need to recover," the young man answered while he sat back on his chair.

Staring at the young man, Tang Yazhu could sense that there was something different about him. From both his bearing and manner, she could tell that he was a powerful man. Not only that, she could not neglect the dangerous aura that was being emitted by him.

Suddenly, an idea popped out of her mind.

"Hey, young man, are you single? Please give me an immediate answer," Tang Yazhu asked in a forbearing way, forcing the young man to be taken aback by her question.

"I'm single," the young man honestly answered.

"Ah, that's good. Then, what do you think about marrying me?" Tang Yazhu questioned, giving him a serious look in the eyes.

Since Tang Yazhu wanted to create a family, she thought that it would not be a bad idea to try the young man. Not only did he look to be a good and honest man, but he also reeked of the main attribute she wanted from a future husband.

What was that attribute that Tang Yazhu was looking for? Nothing more than responsibility!

After all, if Tang Yazhu had a cowardly husband, her life would just go awry. With her life experiences, there was no way she could handle pretending to be a weak young lady for life. Eventually, her mask would be peeled away and people would find out about the dark side of her personality.

Once the time came, nobody would stand by her side anymore. However, if she had a strong husband, she would not be lonely or have a chance of filing for a divorce. Would her life not suck if she accomplished a Class Z mission only to get divorced?

Thinking about the Class Z mission, Tang Yazhu could not help but think about the three fools in the organization. She hoped that they were fine since she left.

At the same time, Tang Yazhu was sure that her death was already announced, so she was also worried. She hoped that Qiao Dong would make easy the news of her death. As for the other two idiots, even if they showed signs of suffering, she was sure they would be fine.

Even though Tang Yazhu was close to Xiong Zemin and Lu Jin, she was not as close to them as she was with Qiao Dong. Due to this fact, she was sure that even if they cried, they could pick themself back up. However, it was a different story for her closest friend, her brother-like figure.

When Fu Chao heard this question, his eyes almost popped out from their sockets. He did not know if this young lady was joking or not, but he hoped that she was.

Then, Fu Chao remembered that his boss was currently looking for a wife due to the will of his late grandfather. However, even then, he had an expectation that his boss would not fall for this young lady.

"Tell me, why should I marry you?"
