Chapter 4.2

“These are the recent attacks of the inferior vampires and werewolves.”

Footages continue to change until Louve spotted something.

“Wait, can you expand that clip from the left?” She observed it and realized it was an alley near the hospital where she and Madison works. “The victim escaped! Where did he go? Show me a clip faster!”

A clip of the man was shown where he entered the hospital. Louve hurriedly dialed a number on her phone and called someone.

“Where are you? An inferior vampire victim entered the hospital! Find the patient before he infects anyone else! Don’t let him go near Madison!” Louve ran and hurriedly left the building. She went straight to the hospital and immediately looked for Madison.

“Madison! Madison! Where is Madison?!”

“Why are you here I thou—” Louve did not let her speak and immediately checked her for any injury.

“Are you hurt? Are you okay?”

“What’s happening? I’m okay, and why are you wearing a suite I thought—” She was interrupted again when Louve’s phone rang.

[I found the victim. He’s on the morgue of the hospital!]

Louve faced Madison and told her to stay where she is.

“Prepare to destroy the footages, I’ll get him,” she said as she runs towards the morgue.

Madison was left stunned and confused on why her friend is acting weird. She decided to follow Louve.

Louve opened the body freezer where the man is. She checked him and has confirmed that the man was infected by a vampire.

“Louve? What are you doing? Why are you—” Louve was shocked to hear Madison so she quickly grabbed her to leave the room but Madison resisted. “Why are acting so weird?! You told me that you are going to your parent’s province but you are here! And why are you in the morgue?”

“Madison, it’s not the right time for me to explain—”

“No, explain it to me right now.”

Louve saw that the man was starting to move. She was facing towards the room while Madison was on the opposite position. Madison saw that Louve was looking behind her so she was about to face the direction but Louve stopped her.

“Okay, okay...I’ll explain it to you but let’s go for now.”

“No! Explain it to me right here!”

The man is now standing and facing their direction. His fangs and claws are not visible and is ready to attack anytime now.

“Madison, listen to me—”

“No, Louve! What’s hard with—” Madison stopped midway when Louve pulled her for a hug and held her head to avoid looking back. The man was going to attack Madison but Louve is now holding his neck and lifting him.

Everything happened within a second. The man moved in a speed of light as well as Louve. Her eyes turned yellow and claws appeared in her hands. She was strangling the man while hugging Madison.

“Don’t look back. Close you eyes and don’t move,” she calmly ordered Madison. She was holding the back of Madison’s head to avoid her moving.

“What—”

“Just don’t move!” Madison was startled and froze in her position and just followed what her friend told her.

Louve completely lifted the man and powerfully throwed him back resulted for him hitting the wall on the other side of the hall. Madison was startled because the loud banging but still stayed in position.

“L-Louve, d-don’t scare m-me. What’s g-going on?”

“Everything is fine, it’s okay I’m here don’t be scared.”

A werewolf entered from the other side of the hall and captured the man. After they left, Louve eyes turned normal again and her claws disappeared. She lets go of Madison and faced her.

“What happened?” Madison asked with a shaky voice.

“Nothing? I just wanted to scare you! Ha!” Louve jokingly said and walked away.

“What the—HEY! COMEBACK HERE! HEY!”

Madison looked backed at the morgue before following Louve back on the emergency room.

Night time came and on a mansion, Alesiter is in the dining table with his mother and father and are silently eating.

“How’s the filming with Mallory? Is there any problem?” Alesiter’s father asked.

 “There has always been a problem since you told me to work with her.”

“Are we not still over this discussion yet?”

“Probably.”

“Look, we just have to make sure to have the situation under control.”

“Everything is under control, if that’s what you wanted to hear.”

Their diner conversation was interrupted when the family’s secretary came in.

“Sorry to interrupt your dinner, but you are needed immediately.”

“Why can’t I just eat in piece, damn,” Aleister said as he stood up to leave. His parents also stood up and together they all left to go to the superior vampire’s headquarters.

Like the werewolves, their headquarters is also located at a basement of a company building. They entered the meeting hall where the rest of the vampires are waiting.

“Let’s start the meeting.” Alesiter’s dad said.

A huge screen opened and it showed profiles and pictures of different inferior vampires and people.

“These are the latest victims of the inferior vampires. They became bolder these days as they attack even in daylight. There are also various articles and news online about werewolves and vampires.”

“We also had a news that the werewolves are being involved in these attacks. We were informed that they have one of the victims captured.”

“I don’t think it will be a problem for us. This is between the inferior vampires and werewolves already,” Aleister said.

“It turns out that the one who captured the victim is the werewolf guardian herself, Louve.”

“If she personally gets involve, it means that the next alpha was in danger.”

“This child will start another war between the immortals.”

“Which we don’t need to get involve in. I mean, werewolves doesn’t really have an issue with superior vampires. It’s not like we killed their alpha before.”

“Aleister is right, werewolves is not our problem. We have to stop the inferior vampires attacking mortals. They are increasing their power probably to prepare in attacking us or the werewolves.”

Their meeting ended and they all went home. Aleister quickly took a shower before going to bed.

“You’re seriously pissing me off! Why do have to act so weird be so secretive!” Madison’s yelling can be heard inside their apartment. She is still interrogating Louve about what happened earlier.

“I already told you, my flight got canceled and I’ll be leaving tomorrow instead. About what happened in the hospital, I was just playing around. Don’t think about it too much and just take a rest.”

“I hate you!” Madison yelled before storming off to her room. Louve was left in the living room and just observed Madison entering her room and slamming the door.

Louve waited for an hour and checked Madison on her room before quietly leaving the apartment. She went at the back of the apartment building where a male werewolf was waiting for him.

“What happened?” Louve immediately asked the man.

“We are keeping the man in one of our safe houses. Don’t you think we should coordinate with the superior vampires? It’s much better for the superior vampires to have him rather than the inferiors.”

“Try to that then, but I got a feeling that they already know. Tell them to pick him up. I’m going to leave tomorrow and visit Roberto. I need you and more men to supervise Madison until I return. Don’t let her notice anything suspicious while you protect her.”

“Got it. I’ll have our men to look after her.”

After their conversation Louve went back inside their apartment and quietly entered her room.
