Chapter 16: Angela pov

He leaves me alone to settle in and I take a moment to look around the room. It is cozy but reeks of wealth, he has a large queen size four poster bed, with grey, Egyptian cotton linen bedding. His walls are also grey, but in contrasting shades, making it both light and warm. It’s an odd effect but it works, especially when paired with the warm mahogany colour of the furniture.

The bed and dressing table, as well as an ottoman at the foot of the bed, are a matching set. I don’t see a wardrobe, but there are three doors in the room. One is the door we entered through, so I wonder if the other two could lead to an ensuite and a walk-in closet.

I am just about to stand up to go and look, when a huge black thing comes bounding into the room, scaring me to death and jumps onto the bed.
