Selena turned to Damian and showed her surprised expression. And behind her, there were now many men who looked surprised by Selena's presence as well. It made them look pale as they were unaware of Selena's presence around the main door, which would get them in trouble for being caught off guard watching the inside of the mansion.

Damian himself now showed no expression of pleasure or annoyance. His face was flat and he waited for Selena to explain the situation. He stepped closer and glanced at his subordinates who were behind Selena.

"Why are you here? You know, this is quite far from your room. And, how did you get here without anyone noticing?" Damian looked closely at Selena.

"Euh..." Selena became a little nervous, after all, before getting here, she had gotten help from one of Damian's subordinates who inexplicably helped her.

"What were you guys doing that you didn't realize she was already here?" Damian looked at his subordinates.

"So what if I intend to escape? Obviously I wanted to escape. First, you treated me badly. Second, I really don't think this has anything to do with me. I shouldn't be here," Selena retorted.

"Then, of course I didn't get caught. If I had gotten caught, I wouldn't have gotten here, until I did. What runaway wouldn't be careful in their escape? Only a fool," Selena continued, squeaking at Damian in annoyance.

Damian raised one eyebrow. "Does that mean you realize you're a fool?"

"It's not like that. I was careful enough to get here!"

For some reason, Selena felt compelled to explain. Maybe it was because of the man who had just helped her. That man could be-could definitely be punished if caught helping a prisoner escape by telling her where the main door was.

"Take her back to the room!" said Damian.

And one of his subordinates who was as big as Damian approached Selena and immediately grabbed Selena's body onto one of his shoulders. He carried Selena like a potato sack. Selena was shocked and tried to rebel.

"Hey, hey! Put me down! I can walk on my own! Hey!" screamed Selena as the man walked after Damian while carrying her.

Arriving in the hallway of her room, a well-dressed woman leaned against one of the walls as she watched Damian's arrival. A smile was etched on her lips at the sight of Damian. Merry.

Coming to an abrupt stop, Selena lifted her head and looked behind her, where Damian who was walking first stopped. Selena frowned as she saw a woman approach Damian and kiss his lips. Damian gave a slight reaction by wrapping his arms around the woman's waist.

"Let go of me!" screamed Selena as she felt she had a chance.

"Well, well... A very loud young girl's voice." Merry glanced at Selena who was struggling.

"Hey!" Selena continued to punch the man holding her, he seemed to be trying hard even though it seemed that Selena's punches were not a problem for him.

"What did you do to her this time?" asked Merry.

"I haven't done anything yet. She's trying to escape and has reached the front door. Looks like I'll have to change her room, since she already knows the route to the main door," Damian muttered.

"Sounds good." Merry smiled so sweetly that her eyes were crescent-shaped.

"I'll have to talk to her first." Damian walked off again coldly, leaving the woman without another word.

And Selena was taken to her room again. She was dropped quite roughly onto her bed. And the man holding her then walked out of her room, leaving Damian with Selena, just the two of them. The way Selena looked at Damian showed her bad feelings.

"What did you want to talk about?" asked Selena curtly.

"Your relationship with Axel used to be that good, huh?" replied Damian as he loosened his tie and walked over to the sofa, sitting down.

Selena lifted her legs up onto the bed and looked at Damian while scrutinizing what Damian really wanted to talk about. Damian looked back at Selena, who seemed to remain alert.

"Not really. Our relationship was good in the beginning, until it deteriorated over time and finally ended. Do you still think I'm on Axel's side? I could be on your side, you know! But, I don't intend to complicate my life by getting involved in this kind of thing," Selena squeaked.

"I won't trust people that easily, if you're thinking of manipulating my mind by being on my side. In my eyes, you're on Axel's side."

"I'm neutral then." Selena crossed her arms.

"By the way, I forgot to punish you for trying to escape." Damian then got up from his seat.

Selena immediately widened her eyes. Selena's level of alertness slowly increased upwards. She seemed to be observing Damian as well, slightly tense over the atmosphere created by that one sentence from Damian's lips.

"And, I got these photos. They shed a lot of light on your past relationship. And I don't believe it ended like that. Axel even proposed to you. That's a sign that Axel trusts you. You must know more about him."

Damian tossed the photos he'd taken from Selena's house. And they immediately scattered on the bed, close to Selena. Selena stared at the photos with trembling. Because if Damian's thinking was that strong, she couldn't avoid it.

"Where did you get these pictures?" Selena took one of them, and turned it upside down, so that she could tell if it had the features she gave it.

"You know where I got them from, right?" Damian stood right next to Selena.

Selena looked down at the photo. The photo where she was smiling so wide with Axel. The handsome man she was so afraid to lose. Now, she hated him for dragging her into the unknown.

Damian's hand reached out to Selena's face. The cold-eyed man slowly lifted Selena's face, to look at her. And once Selena looked up, there was sadness that Damian could see in her eyes.

"I'm not curious how your relationship ended. Because the way I see it, you're still in contact. Do you miss him? Do you want to see him soon? Then let's lure him out of his hiding place!" Damian smiled.

Damian pulled his tie off and leaned closer to Selena. Selena pulled back to keep her distance.

"What do you want to do?!" screeched Selena.

"You don't know. A man and a woman, in a room... You hope nothing happens?" Damian raised one eyebrow.

Selena brushed Damian's hand away from her face, her face now looking more fierce.

"Aww, look at this little cat's expression..." Damian chuckled.

"I wonder if Axel will ignore you or not? After I touch you."

Returning from the hotel, Selena plays with her cell phone in the car. She texted Damian about what she did the first day after Sabrina's funeral. She was starting to feel like an important person now and not so lost in the grief of her mother's death. Selena: Today I visited the hotel. I spent the whole day at the hotel to look around the facilities and learn about the hotel as well. They said you've been to the Gallent hotel, right? Damian: Yeah, I've been there several times for different reasons. I didn't realize I was dating the family that owns the hotel." Selena chuckled softly at the message. It felt like she was starting to get a name for herself. She was no longer nothing if she could help her family manage the hotel. Arriving home when it was dark, Selena stared at the house that felt deserted. It was because Erick and his family had gone back to their homes. Likewise, Dixon and his wife had to return to their usual activities. They all seemed to just

Grandma looked at Selena's suggested solutions to the problems in the hotel. It may seem like a basic thing. But every problem that arises in a business is part of its future development.Managing a hotel isn't easy because it involves a lot of people. And if one of them makes a mistake, chances are that many people will have to deal with the consequences. So, the way one tackles a problem is a form of test given. "You didn't come up with anything creative. But the basic solution you want to give is conveyed here. You're a simple person, aren't you? You don't want to be bothered," Grandma muttered. Selena grinned nervously at her grandmother who didn't seem satisfied with Selena's suggested solution. It made her start to feel desperate. "Well, that's good enough. Read some of the news about the Gallent hotel that came out in the past month! You'll understand how famous the Gallent hotel is among people like Damian. Damian has also been here a few times." "If it becomes a gallery, you'll have to comply with whatever I want, and if it's not, I'll comply with everything you want," Axel put in. Selena looked at Axel with a doubtful look. She knew that Axel knew more than her. There was a lot she still didn't know about this world, about Damian especially. "Just tell me what you want first, I'll say I'll bet if I know what it is," Selena said, she didn't want to make this bet an opening for Axel. "I want you not to see Damian for three whole months, for whatever reason you can tell him. I wonder if he'll overthink it or not." Axel replied after thinking for a moment, he folded his arms while looking at Selena defiantly."Are you crazy? He'll probably find me soon, stalk me, or even kidnap me again," Selena swore. "I'd love to see him go crazy." Axel then laughed at his own joke. Selena snorted and nodded her head after considering it. "Alright, I accept the bet. If I do, I'll say my wish later." "Al

"You know, everything you see from us cannot be obtained easily. Do you realize that?" Grandpa looked at Selena with concern, his words sounding soft. "I know, everything we have can't be had the easy way." Selena looked at Grandpa with some doubt. Somehow the soft and gentle words went to her heart better than the jerks and insults. She agreed with her grandfather's words. "Therefore, I expect you to improve yourself. Sabrina is gone now. You should be able to provide for yourself. I hope you're not so dependent on Damian before he's officially your husband. It would bring shame to the Gallent family." Erick looked at Selena coldly. The man seemed to be just trying to make Selena understand what he meant. Although, he could not express what he meant. "Bro, can't you not put too much pressure on her? She's your niece who you've been protecting from murder," Dixon said with an amused laugh at the mention of murder. Selena furrowed her brow at Dixon's wor

Axel looked at Selena. Selena even remembers the sentence she gave a long time ago, which Axel reiterated. That sentence came from Sabrina. Which now brought tears to Selena's eyes. Everything Axel heard from Sabrina, had been conveyed to Selena. "How lucky you are, to have been with her no matter what. And you've watched her age. She didn't, no, she was young. But I wasn't given the chance to get to know her. I only know her in you," Selena sobbed. Axel was instantly silent, looking at Selena who wiped her tears while sobbing softly. Axel could feel Selena's disappointment in herself and the regret she couldn't fix. Reluctantly, Axel took a deep breath and smiled at her. "I'm sorry, I should have said everything earlier," Axel said in a low voice. "Don't apologize! I don't want to listen to anything for now." Selena wiped away her tears quickly. She didn't want to get drawn in further. Her eyes already felt heavy from crying herself to sleep. She rubbe

  • Become a Prisoner of The Mafia   Sabrina's Bedroom

Selena entered her late mother's room. Seeing a room with a classic feel using a gray monochrome color. Somewhat different from Sabrina's ideal home, which is a warm brown color like wood. It seems that this is just the taste of Sabrina's parents. "Your mother's clothes in the walk-in closet are all from her youth. The closet here contains her recent clothes. You can wear whatever you like while you're here. But to me, it seems that your styles are different. You're very feminine." "Ah, if you're mentioning how I looked in that house back then, it's because I used the clothes provided by mom. Mom seemed to like feminine girls and hoped that I would become what she envisioned back then," Selena explained. Selena smiled slightly and entered her mother's private room in her youth. She still didn't think she could enter a room like this, her mother's very charming bedroom. Grandma entered as well and sat in a large round chair that was there. Selena looked at her.
