Get invited to a birthday party

Social gathering, parties, and all those things weren't my type of lifestyle. Maybe it was because of how strictly my mum brought me up, or because I was too busy having fun with my four friends, that it didn't really interest not until after that very humiliation. The party never really meant anything to me, it was just the fact that my friends weren't truly people I should be friends with.

That was then though, although I say ‘I've put the past behind me', that's not entirely true because what I'm doing, or how I'm acting right now, is as a result of what had happened before.

Anyways, the party was off my mind for now, and the pressing issue was what this girl just told me, and how I can be of assistance, whether emotionally or otherwise.
