Chapter 17

"AMARA!"

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew. The wind destroyed structures standing all around. The damage was extensive. The screams of the people affected by the destruction could be heard everywhere. Even though it was only afternoon, the sky quickly darkened along with everything that was happening. I could hardly see anything around me.

I didn't know where I landed, but I was sure it was far away from where I started. I held onto my left thigh because it was in pain from being trapped under the heavy debris that had fallen from the houses. I tried to transform into a wolf, but my body couldn't handle it. So, I had no choice but to use my powers.

I focused my palm on the large object resting on my left leg. I unleashed my power and slowly lifted it off the ground. Then, I directed my hand in the opposite direction and with all the force of my power, I pushed the object away from me.
