COOKIES WERE already placed on the plates so I grabbed the used parchment paper and threw it in the trash bin. I clapped my hands together so excess powders and any granules would move out from my skin. I even wiped it on my apron before holding the tray full of used equipment and ran towards the kitchen counter to put it down, then go back to the dining area.

"Ready?" I teasingly asked Meter as I gazed upon him.

He gave me a sincere smile. "Everything's up," then answered.

I couldn't help but also showed Meter the same smile he gave me, so I felt how stretched the corners of my lips.

He helped me with baking and preparing other things for this mini-date that he asked for days ago. I immediately said yes, of course. He was only the one who could make me agree with things instantly, without hesitations. Well, honestly, he was also the only person who asked favors these days.

Because Rhyme seemed like a ghost for the past ten days of my life.
