Chapter 20

I GASPED as I opened my eyes. I woke up from a horribly melancholic nightmare, and that's the best way to describe it because it was not supposed to be called a dream.

That was Canary. Maybe the reason she appeared was I thought of her before I fell asleep. The setting was on the cave where Canary got into an accident. The same scenario as to how we saw her dead.

It was pitch black. Canary was screaming while her tears were drastically flowing onto her cheeks. She was wearing a Victorian gown and it was white but turned bloody red out of wine as to how it smelled. That was the short scene until there were continuously annoying tossing of glasses. It just stopped when I redeemed myself.

I wiped my sweat while trying to calm myself. I reached for the tumbler and drank water from it. Then I turned to Rhyme who was still sleeping beside me, he was smiling.

I was also about to smile until I was stopped, remembering Canary on him. I thought of it
