Friday Afternoon

I was curled up in bed with Amir beside me, the boy had been sick since yesterday. I'm still on rest as per what Marwan told my boss, I am to rest for the whole week. Just the thought of staying indoors throughout the week without going to work excites me. Marwan is already at work, me and Amir being the only ones at home. I place my palms on his forehead and I'm glad his fever went down a bit. I've come to a decision that he will not go to school, we will spend the week together.

Seeing it's almost time for Zuhr prayers, I pulled the duvet more to his body, getting out of the bed I went straight to the bathroom and did my wudhu and that reminded me of that night, the night we did our first kiss. The image is still clear in my head, that night is a special one for me. I prayed Zuhr Namaz praying to Allah to protect my family more and bless my marriage life. Getting married is not something I planned but now I realised that is what Allah planned.
