I gasp at her words. "What! But why?"
"It is because even if you show your love, not telling it means not considering it at all. This will give the next person the impression that you care for them but not anything more than that."
"Wait a minute, love? I don't—" I hesitate. I don't love him, right? Love is a deep word to even start with.
"Leave it. Let's get some food. I bought some vegetables from the market. Can you make something out of them?"
"Hmm. Bring the packet here." She brings the packet before I start putting the vegetables on the kitchen island and see what I can make out of them. Yet my head revolves around what Lai said a few minutes ago. Will I lose him if I don't tell him my feelings?
