Chapter 2

Richard couldn't believe his eyes nor his ears. " Are you kidding me?"

"Because the owner of Blackmore corporation likes to joke, isn't it?" Destiny asked back sarcastically but her eyes blazed.

"No. But we all know you're doing this because of what happened. He's our rival, you can't just employ him? You don't even know him."

"Assume whatever you want but I want you out of my property this minute before I call the securities on you."

"What?" Richard couldn't believe it still.

"Get out now!" Destiny said seriously.

Richard looked back then returned his gaze to his wife. He feels reluctant to leave. "I think you should leave Mister Grey." He said to Wilhelm.

"Excuse me?" Grey's eyes flick on Richard, a coy smile dancing on his lips. Wilhelm seems to be enjoying the drama going on.

Without a word, Destiny reached to the emergency button beside Richard's office door. Richard saw her intentions but before she could he spoke.

"Okay, okay." Richard raised his arm in surrender. "I'm leaving."

"Thought you'd like to see who I want out of here. I would have loved to see the person gety dragged out."

"It won't be necessary but we'll have to talk about this when you come home, okay?."

"I suggest you go straight to the court to prepare our divorce."

Richard heaved a sigh but uttered no more words. He turned around and left.

An awkward silence reigned between Wilhelm and Destiny and when it was getting unbearable, she walked back into Richard's office.

To her surprise, Wilhelm followed suit and Destiny could feel his heavy stare on her. Her tongue darted out to wet her lips as she takes a deeper breath and turned to face the aquamarine-eyed man she just assigned as the next CEO of her company in a fit of rage. Not to forget she kissed.

She cleared her throat. "I'm sorry about that. I didn't..."

"What are you apologizing for, Mrs. Davidson?" Wilhelm raised a brow at her.

"First of all, it's Miss Blackmore, Mr. Grey." Destiny's eyes meet his face to make sure her words registered.

Wilhelm's eyes flick leisurely over her face then his lips stretch into a cocky smirk. "Until you properly divorce him, I'll call you Mrs. Davidson. Is that clear, Tiny?

"Tiny?" She flared, feeling belittled even though it was derived from her name.

"Okay." Wilhelm shrugged, completely unaffected by her rage. "If we're past that," He took a step closer, still not moved by the way her blue eyes turned icy on him as they seize him up.

He stopped a few steps to her. " tell me what you're apologizing for. Is it for divorcing your husband right in front of me or for taking advantage of me?"

"What? Taking advantage of you?" She gasped out.

He nodded, with a stoic face.

"Get the fuck out of my building now!" She roared. She wanted to offer her apologies and tell him that she didn't mean her words politely but this man is clearly sending her insane, coupled with the heartbreak she's going through at the moment.

The shock of it all was that her loving husband was cheating on her with his assistant.

"I have seen how much you call the shots here by the way you had to fire your husband when he wasn't the one caught forcing himself on another woman right in front of him but not me, so take a chill pill, Mrs. Davidson." Wilhelm deadpan provokingly. He was not the least moved by her rage. If anything, it amused him.

He had just pressed on all her wrong buttons and now she was fuming with intense anger.

"What do you even know to put the fucking blame on me? That man has been fucking his assistant right under my nose while married to me and..and..you know what, fuck off. You're no better than him. The door is over there." She snapped her fingers towards the door to dismiss him but Mr. Grey proves to be just one hell of a stubborn ass.

"You think I'm bad?" He asked her.

"Probably the reason why you two never got along."

"Whoa. I'm not the one taking advantage of innocent men, Tiny." He quirks a mocking brow at her.

God. She closed her eyes, biting her lower lip in anger and exhaustion. When her eyes opened, she caught him staring at her.

He looked away and cleared his throat. "You have no right to judge him, Tiny. You're not so perfect. In fact, you both cheated. Even if it was just to get back on him. You were not divorced."

"Who are you to preach to me?" She snarled.

"The man you jumped a few minutes ago, Tiny." He grinned at her.

Destiny could barely hold it. "Stop calling me Tiny and it was just a kiss okay?!" She screamed.

"If you're not sorry for anything then why are you apologizing in the first place?" He quizzed.

"Because I wasn't in my right senses and whatever I said to you was not meant."

"I see." He mused.

"Yes. So you can get the hell out now!" She commanded authoritatively.

His brows shot up in shock. He knew the owner of this agency is sassy and feisty but he didn't know that she has a sharp tongue too, a loudmouth. He hated her guts.

All traces of amusement drained from his face when he took steady steps to close the gap between them.

He stared at her intensely with a stone-hard face.

She gulped and took a step back. She felt like prey, his prey. No man, no matter who, has never intimidated her to this extent but she wasn't ready to let him see that.

She stood her ground and stared back at him with the same level of intensity, challenging him.

"I can see you're used to ordering people around to get your wishes fulfilled." He glanced at the diamond sets she snatched from Rebecca which were still in her hands to emphasize his words.

" but you missed your way this time. Wilhelm Grey never bow at anyone's feet to talk of you. And I am a man who takes every word seriously especially when it's about business."

"The heck you mean?" Destiny's heart thumped. Not only did she feel threatened but there's something about Wilhelm that makes her heart skip.

Smirking, he raised his hands to her full lips and brushed his thumb over them. Destiny shuddered as a slight wave vibrated through her. She gulped.

"There's no way I was going to refuse the offer this sweet lips had made, Tiny." Then without her suspecting, he leaned and brushed his lips over hers. Again.

Before she could comprehend the fuck going on, he has gotten to the door to leave.

"Wilhelm !" She yelled with all her might.

He turned with a sinister smile.

"We're done here, Tiny. Just prepare my appointment letter, a meeting with the board, the documents I need to sign then, of course, inform your workers about your new decision. We'll see tomorrow." He saluted then strutted out, banging the door behind him.

"Arghh."

She groaned, tugging at the root of her hair then slumped down into the chair her husband has always sat on.

"How did I end up in this shit?" She asked herself as memories of the day flashed by. It was supposed to be her birthday but thanks to her husband and  Mr. Grey, she will never forget this day. This is not how memorable she had envisioned this day.

Her phone vibrated and she stretched her hand to fetch it out of her bag.

It was a video call from her friend. Destiny hung up and called her back.

"I wanted to see your face. Did you get a good bang?"

"I got a bad bang."

"It's weird but I can sense your mood. How about the new club we wanted to explore?"

"I don't think I can.."

"Come on. It's your birthday and I thought you'd be banged from dawn to dusk till you could lift no finger but since that didn't happen, why do you want to bore the day? Let's get numb together."

"Get numb," Destiny mumbled. "Sounds like a plan."

"Pick me up when you're ready."

"I'm not your chauffe—" before Destiny could protest, Arabella had hung up.

Destiny left the office to her private suite at the city center in an attempt to get her mind off her adulterous husband.

Richard was a good guy, handsome and hardworking. Being the person who doesn't believe that true love exists, Destiny didn't have a problem agreeing to marry him.

Especially not when that decision was made by her grandfather.

But she's been deceived. Beneath that charming personality and beautiful face lies a dishonest man, a cheat.

Beauty indeed is deceitful. What matters is what's inside. Unfortunately, Destiny might be disappointed but she's not going to shed a tear for Richard.

What bothered Destiny was her grandfather who had so much faith in Richard.

Getting out of the limo, Destiny and Arabella beamed at each other and faced the building. They entwined their hands and walked to the entrance.

Destiny's hand went into her bag for a pass but before she could bring it out, the security guard recognized her and bowed but he smiled at Arabella. Destiny thought it was because he found interest in her.

There was no need anymore. Destiny and Arabella stormed into the club. Heads immediately turned to their direction, eyes lingering but Destiny was oblivion to the attention they received. 'Willey' is a new club with an underground casino in Los Angeles.

It was a club for the rich and Destiny has heard the owner is not in an American and neither does he reside in California.

Just as Arabella had described to her, the club was exquisite and more. It was big enough to accommodate thousand people and no one would have to bump into each other.

The colorful lights were one of a kind and the music came out good. Very good that Destiny began to nod without realizing it.

Arabella pulled Destiny towards the bar for a shot.

"Are you ready to get numb?"

"Just two shots." Destiny raised two fingers in the air with a pout. "I need to flex my muscles first before I get them numb."

"Alright then. It's only unfortunate you're married else I would have hooked you up and you wouldn't have to stumble home alone."

Arabella has no idea the current happenings in Destiny's life and to not bore the mood, Destiny decided not to tell her now.

The whiskey was rich and smooth but burned like an inferno as they gorge it down. Destiny's face twisted but she felt how suddenly her blood turned hot.

They catch each other's sour expressions as a result of the hard liquor and burst into laughter. Another shot and they're up to the dance floor.

As Destiny swayed to the music, memories of the day came rushing in. She shook her head as if that will shake the thought away and make her stop thinking about it.

Then she let the music take control. The effect of the alcohol that was seeping into her bloodstream took care of the rest.

Nothing existed to her anymore. Just her and the music. Arabella who got exhausted managed to pull her back to the bar.

"That was crazy." Arabella giggled. Destiny only nodded then took another shot. She was beyond tipsy now but she doesn't want to stop.

"So tell me about it," Arabella said out of the blue.

"Not now!" Destiny shouted over the music.

"This is the perfect.." Arabella began to say when a tall handsome man leaned against the counter beside her. He flashed her what seem to be his best smile.

"Hi ladies."

Destiny barely noticed him but her friend squeaked. "Hello."

Destiny took another shot to shut everything out, completely avoiding Arabella and the new guy.

Soon, Arabella excused and disappeared among the people with the man, leaving Destiny alone.

While Destiny's eyes were glued at their back to know where they're heading off to, her eyes met someone familiar.

She thought she was hallucinating so she got up to leave, stumbling towards the entrance.

"Hi, beautiful." A rich-looking brown-haired but lean man flashed Destiny a stupid grin.

"Yes?" She asked rudely but that didn't fade his smile.

"How about I get you a drink then we can talk and then take it to the next level." He eye raped her lustfully.

Destiny cringed in disgust.

"Just get the hell out of my sight if you know what's good for you."

"Whoa! Feisty. I love it."

The man doesn't seem to get the message and Destiny didn't see the need to keep talking to him. She began to walk away but surprisingly, the man pulled her back with a force that sent Destiny crushing into his chest. Then he grabbed her from behind.

"God, you're so delicate and smell so delicious." He inhaled her like a psychopath.

Destiny couldn't take it anymore. She fought her way out of his arms and gave him two hot slaps.

She turned to leave angrily only to bump into someone else. She thought it was the man who has followed her but when she lifted her gaze, it was the one person she didn't think she'll see at a place like this.
