Chapter 11

NOLAN

My legs are now hurting.

We have been walking for almost an hour now. We haven’t stopped or rested. I didn’t care if my legs are hurting so much as if they want to separate from my body.

I looked at my watch. Amansinaya explained that the time here is not different from our time.

We’ve been walking for quite a while yet we haven’t seen a single sign of the mermaid.

“Let’s stop here.” Amansinaya turned her head to us. I looked at the place where we are.

We’re in the middle of a forest. It’s not bad to camp here. Luckily, I bought myself a sleeping bag that I found in my room.

After we’ve set up our own sleeping bags. We lay down staring at the stars displayed in the beautiful night sky.

“Beautiful isn’t?” I looked at Amansinaya when she spoke.

“Mm!” Orlene replied with a nod.

“I always admire how they shine their light, unafraid of the darkness that was brought by the cold night.” Amansinaya continued.
