Chapter 15
Lily POV
Holding my head, I am screaming in pain. Jared is yelling for the medical staff; Doctor Kent comes running into the room. “What is it, Lily? What’s happening?” he asks. “So much pressure, like my head is going to explode,” I say. I can barely catch my breath from the pain coming from my head.
As Kent examines me, he first administers a pain killer to numb the pain. It takes some of the pressure I feel off me, but the pain is still there. Breathing a bit easier, I feel sweat dripping down my head. Jared grabs a cloth to wipe my face, as Kent considers the possibilities.

Lily POV Hugging Jared tight, I still desperately need a shower. As I step back, I start removing my clothes. Jared POV Having just gotten off the phone with Alpha Kate, she confirmed she would be attending Lily’s Luna ceremony with Colby. She also confirmed Miranda, the witch, was on her way. When she arrived, she would literally pop in; meaning she would come in an untraditional manner. We could expect her in the next couple days. With that off my mind, I decided it was time to go check on Lily. I had only been away from her for a short period of time, but I was already missing her immensely. Miranda POV After an amazing night and slow start to our morning, Rick and I have joined Lily and Jared in the meeting room along with Alex. It was time to give them my preliminary thoughts on what I had learned so far. As everyone took their seats I started. “So, the first thing I realize is many people love Lily already in the Pack,” I say. Seeing Jared look at Lily pleased, he turns back to me. “There are a handful who are indifferent and some who had a connection to the other woman who was going to be Luna before Lily,” I say. Lily POV I was bursting with excitement as I watched the cars roll up. My brother is Alpha to the Golden Moon Pack, along with Kate who shares the title with him. For this reason, he always travels with warriors for protection. The Golden Moon Pack is among the second largest Packs in our region. I can see my mom waving to me from the car and as soon as the car stops, she jumps out of the car running up the stairs. She takes me in her arms, “Oh my baby girl, I have missed you,” she murmurs with tears in her eyes. “I’ve missed you too, mom,” I reply hugging her tightly. “How are you feeling?” she asks through her tears. “Mom, we can discuss all that in a bit,” I say as I see my dad impatiently waiting to give me a hug.
