His Hypocrisy

[Tatiana’s POV]

I wait as Massimo considers whether or not he will agree to allowing me to speak to Knight alone, but when his face softens and he nods, I know he isn’t going to fight it.

"If you need me, don’t hesitate to call," he murmurs, squeezing my shoulder.

A low growl escapes Knight’s lips, taking me by surprise while Massimo seems amused, and I can’t help but wonder what in the world is going through his head.

"Come on," I sigh, wanting to get whatever it was he wanted to talk about done and over with. "I’ll be right back, Mass."

"I’ll be here."

Nodding, I begin to move, leading the way to the large patio that is attached to the room that we are in. It provided a nice view of the large pool that sat at the back of Onyx River and privacy from spying eyes.

Once I stop walking, I whirl around and fix my gaze on Knight’s while he takes me in with an unreadable expression, and before I can even say a word, he is backing me against a wall and pinning me there.

"Who the hell is he?"
