A Mate's Mark

[Knight’s POV]

I stare into Tatiana’s eyes, trying to determine whether or not I heard her correctly. How was it possible that someone could be given this much fucking happiness at once? Especially a sinner like me?

“Well?” She asks, looking shy. “Will you?”

Would I? Of course I fucking would! But would she regret asking me to do it in the future? We still had such a long way to go in our relationship, but right now we never felt closer. However, anything could happen in the blink of an eye, and everything would come crumbling down.

“Knight,” she continues when I don’t speak. “Look at me.”
