CHAPTER 133

Isabella's POV

I lay in bed looking at the ceiling trying hard to get rid of the fear that held on to me. Elena's teasing laugh rang in my head a haunting reminder of the fear and trouble that had taken over my life.

“Do you think going back to Mummy and Daddy at Stormfang will help you?!” Elena's voice cut through the dark her face hovering over me like a predator ready to pounce.

I blinked, hoping the nightmare would go away, but the sight in front of me was too clear. Elena stood there, her smile full of delight, with Axel beside her, staring at me like a sharp knife. They looked like dark ghosts enjoying my weakness as I lay there frozen by their plans.

“No one can help you now,” Elena said with a smirk, her eyes shining with wickedness, clearly loving the fear that made my heart race. “I’ll take pleasure in your struggle.”

“Get off me!” I yelled, fear racing through me as I struggled, but it was no use. Axel’s strong hands held my wrists down on the bed trapping me. I

CHAPTER 143 Ethan's POV Hurrying through the dense bushes, I found it hard to keep up with Captain Luke as we moved further into the woods. The usual sounds of nature seemed quiet, almost creepy, while we hurried along. Each of Luke's steps echoed like an alarm, sending shivers down my back. I pushed through the thick branches and weeds, my head filled with worries and questions about why he had called me so suddenly. “What’s going on, Captain?” I asked, breaking the quiet of the woods, feeling both nervous and curious. “What seems to be the problem?” I saw Luke’s profile for a moment—his jaw was tight, eyes squinted, showing a seriousness that both drew me in and scared me. When he looked back, I noticed the worried look on his face. “Alpha Ethan, you should come and see for yourself.” With that, he disappeared further into the tree shadows, making me run after him, my heart pounding in my chest. The forest went on forever, and each step felt heavy with worry. I sensed a thick

CHAPTER 142 Elena's POVI stood in the dim, flickering light of the inn, my stomach twisted in knots of anxiety. My heart raced as I watched a shocking scene unfold before me. Axel, the unstoppable werewolf who had faced many foes with great confidence, now lay on the ground. The rogue stood over him, a cruel boot pressing hard against his neck. In that moment, I saw something in Axel's eyes—was it shock? Was it fear?—something strange, like a dark cloud on a sunny day. Seeing him so helpless hit me like a punch, stealing my breath and leaving me completely still.“Get off him!” I yelled, my voice breaking from the rush of feelings inside me—fear, anger, and a need for help all mixed together. The rogue looked at me, his dark hair accentuating a face that was both beautiful and scary. There was a creepy grace about him that made me shiver.“Stay out of this, girl,” he said with a sneer, his tone full of disdain. As he pressed his weight onto Axel's throat, I heard my friend gasp in p

CHAPTER 141Isabella's POVI stood still in the large throne room, each heartbeat loud in my ears, feelings swirling inside me. The air felt thick with tension. There she was—a woman in a gown that sparkled like the stars, moving forward with a strong presence that commanded respect. I struggled to breathe she looked just like me.When our eyes met, the word came out before I could hold it back—honest and open. “Mom?”As soon as I said it, I felt vulnerable. Her eyes shone with happy tears, and a warm smile brightened her face.“Hi, daughter,” she said, her voice a song that embraced me.My heart sped up, and I took a careful step closer. “You… you’re my mom?”“Yes, I am Serenity Whitewolf.”I felt a wave of emotions, and without a second thought, I ran into her open arms. The hug felt like being back home, giving me a deep sense of peace that calmed my restless heart. We held each other tight, shaking with all the things we couldn’t say, tears flowing down our faces. CHAPTER 140Isabella's POVI looked at Lucas and Darcy Stormfang, the couple I had always thought of as my parents. They were warm and welcoming, but my heart dropped when I met Lucas’s eyes. In that moment, a sudden truth struck me like a lightning bolt these people I loved were not my real parents. My sense of who I was felt shaky, weighed down by secrets that had been hidden for too long.“Oh wow, Isabella!” Darcy’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts like sunlight breaking through dark clouds. She ran over to me with her arms wide open, looking both excited and relieved.I stood still, my body tense with mixed feelings. When she hugged me tightly, it felt almost smothering and deeply wrong. My gut told me to pull back, but I awkwardly wrapped my arms around her. “Hey, umm, mom,“ I said, my words sounding strange and stiff as I spoke. She stepped back, her eyes shining with tears she hadn’t shed, and she looked at me like she wanted to remember everything. “You look so grown! CHAPTER 139Isabella's POVI held on tight to the edge of my dress, feeling the cloth twist around my fingers as thoughts of Ethan raced through my mind. The car engine hummed quietly, barely heard over the storm in my heart—a wave of doubt, fear, and desire. Up front, the guards from the Ravensong Pack sat straight, their presence both reassuring and heavy. Their silence was full of respect, hanging in the air like a shared understanding of the burden I carried, but their weariness reminded me of the chaos affecting us all.I looked over at Emily. She was looking out the window, deep in thought, as if she was in a different world from ours. The quiet in the car felt like a heavy blanket, pressing down on my chest, making it hard to breathe because of my worries. Finally breaking the heavy silence, I spoke up, my voice a quiet sound that struggled against my fear. “Do you think he’ll be okay?” My question lingered in the air, filled with the worry gnawing at my stomach.Emily looked a

CHAPTER 138Elena's POVThe steam surrounded me, dulling the noisy thoughts in my head. I stood under the pouring hot water, trying to feel better, but it only made my inner chaos worse. Axel had done the unthinkable—he’d caught Logan. My heart ached at the idea. I had pushed him to kill Logan, to end it all, but he chose to keep the pain going. His sick love for torture fed my anger just like the water calmed my skin.“Oh, Logan,” I whispered, my voice lost in the steady sound of the shower. “What trouble are you in this time?”I pictured his pale face, hurt and beaten, blood covering his skin like war paint. It should have been easy—a quick act of justice. But things got messy. Ethan had arrived, my bringer of chaos, saving Logan and pulling me deeper into this nightmare. They were all plotting against Axel and me, and why? Revenge? For the mistakes I’d made?I hit my fist against the tiled wall, pain rushing through my knuckles as anger boiled inside me. “Damn it!” I yelled, lettin
