Isabella’s P.O.V

“What do you think you’re doing?” I snapped at him angrily trying to wriggle away from his grip but to no avail, he leaned forward ignoring my struggles and sniffed my mate mark but was immediately repulsed by it and frowned.

“You have a mate?” He questioned and slowly pulled away from me as we both adjusted our disheveled clothes.

“Not anymore.” I said, staring right at him after heaving a sigh of relief.

“Oh I’m sorry about that.” He quickly apologized and gave me a reasonable distance to recover from what he had just put me through, my hands were still trembling so I hid them behind me.

“Is this how you harass women?” I frown at him, aiming to make him feel guilty, in hopes that he won’t ask me anymore questions.

“Why don’t we have some tea to calm our nerves?” He offered but at this point there’s no way I want to be close to this man.

“I’ve lost my appetite and I just want to sleep.” I told him calmly, my feet were already aching because of the heels I wore and I just wanted to shut my eyes and succumb to sleep.

“Well then, I’ll escort you to your room.” He offered, I wanted to decline so badly but I didn’t want to seem suspicious. If I got kicked out now, I have no idea how life was going to treat me, I still hadn’t gotten over my experience with those rogues and didn’t want to take any chances right now.

Right now I have to act right before I can make any move to actually get out of here and leave here to somewhere else.

“Sure.” I nodded and just then we both heard a knock on the door, grasping our attention.

The door creaked open to reveal a man who walked in with a calm composure. I couldn’t deny he was good looking but compared to this man standing in front of me he was below.

“Alpha the hideout of the rogues have been found, what’s our next move?”

“Capture them all and lock them up in the dungeon.” he commanded, the man nodded before walking out leaving us once again in silence.

“What’s wrong?” he questioned, noticing how I looked at him.

“May I know your name and the name of your pack please?” I mumbled.

Coming from a person who is trying to hide her identity, he said, sarcasm lacing every word.

“Well, I'm Ethan Bloodmoon”

Ethan Blood...moon?, I gasped in shock. No this can't be true Ethan Bloodmoon can't be this nice. This has to be some sort of joke or something.

You mean Ethan Bloodmoon…. “ Yes Ethan Bloodmoon the hybrid”. He cut me off ,rolling his eyes at me.

I knew there was an alpha with such a name who was hated by a lot of packs because he was half Lucan and werewolf, so they always avoided him.

It all makes sense how killed the rogues without breaking a sweat.

I was standing right before this man and to think that I thought I had a chance to actually stab him made me want to laugh at my dumb self.

He made his way out of the dining room and I followed behind leaving a reasonable distance between us as I still wasn’t feeling safe being so close to him, adding the new info I just learnt about him, I’m just trying to be safe here.

“Where are you taking me?” I questioned noticing I hadn’t passed this route when the servant girl had brought me over.

“We aren’t done talking so I’m taking us for a stroll.” He replied, turning his head slightly behind to take a glimpse at me.

“Okay” I replied, my voice barely a whisper, silently walking behind him. We were soon in the garden and I couldn’t help but look at it with a smile plastered on my lips, the night light made it even more aesthetically pleasing, hearing the cricket noises and the fireflies dancing around plus the night breeze that grazed my skin carefully, allowing the initial heat I felt vanish.

“So what do you want to talk about?” I stopped walking and asked Alpha Ethan politely this time.We had been walking silently for a moment and it was beginning to get awkward for me.

“It’s still about you, you’ll be staying in this pack and I need to make sure you’re not a threat.” He replied in a serious tone causing me to gulp.

The light from the moon shone down casting its light on him and making him even more attractive to look at yet fearful in a way, I looked away from him as my cheeks burned red.

“What makes you think I want to stay?” I tilt my brows with a smirk on my lips, he slowly moves towards me and I see a smirk creeping on his lips.

“I’m pretty sure you don’t want to end up being a plaything for rogues.” He whispered in my ear causing me to jump at the thought of it, also his breath that had teased my skin caused me to shiver slightly. He moved away from me and continued walking away from me again.

“Are you underestimating me?” I frowned at him walking beside him. I never liked the way alpha’s looked down on others because they think they are stronger, I was also an alpha bit I never looked down on others.

“Not at all.” He chuckled. “You’re free to do what you want.”

“Do you have any more questions, if not let me just go inside.”I grimaced, he had no sympathy, I was still wearing my heels the maid got for me and my toes were already screaming at me for the pressure I was exerting on them.

‘Now that I think about it, an ordinary wolf couldn’t possibly face that many wolves and survive without a scar.” He said , his voice

turning chilly suddenly.

“A lone wolf can’t be as beautiful as you so either tell me where you’re from or you shall die here and now.” He threatened as his long sharp claws protruded from his hands startling me, I couldn’t move nor could I say anything to defend myself, I was fixated in the same position and couldn’t take my eyes off his claws.

Was I going to die right now?

What do I do?

Gosh how can a man change moods, so quickly?

Lots of questions engrossed my mind as fear still engulfed me.

“Are you a spy?” His thick masculine voice resounded in my ear causing goosebumps all over my body.

The noise shook my chest and awakened something deep inside me. Home.I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. CHAPTER 145Isabella's POVI stood at the end of the big hall, a place that was once filled with laughter and dear memories from my childhood. Now, it hummed with the busy movements of servants, their footsteps ringing off the cold stone walls as they packed away the remains of my life in Stormfang. Each trunk they filled had parts of me—things that felt oddly familiar but completely strange. It had only been two days since I got here, but those days felt like forever.Nostalgia filled me, pulling at my heart as I thought of the little nook where I used to hide and escape into games of imagination. I created stories of adventure there, building dreams of great things and a better future. Back then, pretending to be a princess felt like just a daydream I never thought those fantasies would one day mix with my life.“Isabella!” Emily’s voice brought me back to now, breaking my daydream. She came closer, her bright blue dress and flowing dark hair full of energy. “We’re nearly set. You h

CHAPTER 144 Isabella's POV As I lay in bed with the darkness surrounding me like a thick blanket, I found myself looking at the ceiling, my mind caught in the whirlwind of feelings my mother had caused earlier that day. The painful truth nagged at me, not allowing me to sleep. “Now I hope she just left it hidden?” I whispered to the dark, feeling frustrated. For as long as I could remember, I had felt a gap between me and my wolf, a space that felt impossible to cross. Then, that discovery broke the weak grasp I had held onto. For years, I thought I was meant to lead, to be with my father. But no, I was meant to be the Luna Queen, the hidden power inside me ready to rise. “What does that mean?” I said quietly, almost a whisper. I felt a wave of uncertainty wash over me, taking away any calm I had. How could I make sense of this new identity and my past? “What if I'm not strong enough?” The minutes dragged on as I tossed and turned, the clock driving me crazy. Finally, I got so t

CHAPTER 143 Ethan's POV Hurrying through the dense bushes, I found it hard to keep up with Captain Luke as we moved further into the woods. The usual sounds of nature seemed quiet, almost creepy, while we hurried along. Each of Luke's steps echoed like an alarm, sending shivers down my back. I pushed through the thick branches and weeds, my head filled with worries and questions about why he had called me so suddenly. “What’s going on, Captain?” I asked, breaking the quiet of the woods, feeling both nervous and curious. “What seems to be the problem?” I saw Luke’s profile for a moment—his jaw was tight, eyes squinted, showing a seriousness that both drew me in and scared me. When he looked back, I noticed the worried look on his face. “Alpha Ethan, you should come and see for yourself.” With that, he disappeared further into the tree shadows, making me run after him, my heart pounding in my chest. The forest went on forever, and each step felt heavy with worry. I sensed a thick

CHAPTER 142 Elena's POVI stood in the dim, flickering light of the inn, my stomach twisted in knots of anxiety. My heart raced as I watched a shocking scene unfold before me. Axel, the unstoppable werewolf who had faced many foes with great confidence, now lay on the ground. The rogue stood over him, a cruel boot pressing hard against his neck. In that moment, I saw something in Axel's eyes—was it shock? Was it fear?—something strange, like a dark cloud on a sunny day. Seeing him so helpless hit me like a punch, stealing my breath and leaving me completely still.“Get off him!” I yelled, my voice breaking from the rush of feelings inside me—fear, anger, and a need for help all mixed together. The rogue looked at me, his dark hair accentuating a face that was both beautiful and scary. There was a creepy grace about him that made me shiver.“Stay out of this, girl,” he said with a sneer, his tone full of disdain. As he pressed his weight onto Axel's throat, I heard my friend gasp in p

CHAPTER 141Isabella's POVI stood still in the large throne room, each heartbeat loud in my ears, feelings swirling inside me. The air felt thick with tension. There she was—a woman in a gown that sparkled like the stars, moving forward with a strong presence that commanded respect. I struggled to breathe she looked just like me.When our eyes met, the word came out before I could hold it back—honest and open. “Mom?”As soon as I said it, I felt vulnerable. Her eyes shone with happy tears, and a warm smile brightened her face.“Hi, daughter,” she said, her voice a song that embraced me.My heart sped up, and I took a careful step closer. “You… you’re my mom?”“Yes, I am Serenity Whitewolf.”I felt a wave of emotions, and without a second thought, I ran into her open arms.
