My phone buzzed, it was a text from Noah. I smiled.

“Are you free? Let’s meet up,” the text said.

“Okay” I replied back to him.

I arrive at the café we were meeting up. Noah was already inside.

“Hi Noah” I said as I hugged him

“How have things been?” He asked

“Fine” 

“I heard things aren’t going well,” he said gently “With Liam and the company” he added

I met his gaze “You could say that”

He exhales. “He’s not handling it well, he has been blowing up my phone asking what was up with you, why you had changed”

I almost laughed.

“You warned me not to get involved with him” I said looking at him, I needed his help to take down Liam, if there was anyone who knew all of Liam’s secret, it was going to be Noah and I knew he was going to help me.

His jaw tightened. “He is my best friend but I told you he is not someone who you can date”

I sighed “I know and I should have listened to you” I said

“So you guys are not getting married?” he asked

“I don’t think so”

“Why, what did he do?”

I laughed softly

“He hurt me” I said.

“What?” 

“He did something that I can never forgive him for and now I am going to make him pay” I said taking a sip from my drink.

Noah sighed “This was why I was so against you dating him”

“What do you want to do?” he asked

“Destroy him” I replied

“Damn, what did he do to you?” he asked. “Don’t tell me you are the one responsible for the whole chaos?” he asked his eyes wide.

“You could say that” I was playing with fire, Noah could as well betray me and go to Liam, but I had faith and I trusted my gut.

Silence stretched and then he leaned forward

“Don’t get married to Liam and I will help you” He said. “You are too good for him” he added.

I laughed softly “I am not going to marry him” 

“That’s good” he smiled.

“Thanks, I really need your help, I have no one else to trust” I said placing my hand on his.

“Of course, I’m here for you” he said.

Liam’s Pov

The glass shattered on the ground, my palm bleeding from the shards, I couldn’t care less. I had just lost another contract.

What the hell was happening? Why now of all times. First Natasha moves our wedding and now my contracts are being rejected. This cannot just be a coincidence. I needed to act fast else am going to lose all the investors. Natasha has gone MIA she is not replying to my callas or text so she of no help right now and my family does not even care.

The door to my office opened and Ashley walked in her skirt short that I could see her underwear and the first three buttons on her shirt undone, any other day I would have pounced on her but not today but still my cock was twitching.

“What’s got you so angry?” she asked looking at the broken glass on the floor.

“Another contract got canceled” I said dragging my hand down my face.

“I don’t get it everything was going fine”

“Have you asked your wife” she sneered

“I asked her already, she said she has no idea” I replied

“Are you sure, she is the only one that has access to your documents and now she wants to postpone the wedding and the contract we needed her for, got delayed” Ashley said

“Think about it, I’m sure she had a hand in this” she added

“Everyone is turning on you, my dad keeps asking If it is wise for us to still invest in your project, you need to get your shit together and make her get that contract for us.” Ashley said

I sat on my chair.

“The annual party is this weekend, she can’t avoid it, I will speak to her there” I said

Ashley walked to me and went on her knees.

“I’m sure you would babe” she said as her hands went to my zip.
