Chapter Eight

GYPSY'S POV

This feels like Deja Vu.

I step out of the elevator the next morning, deciding to pretend like everything is normal. Like I'm not just returning to work after resigning last night.

Reality slaps me in the face. This is not deja vu at all. Because this time, I'm not here with good intentions. I'm here to spy on Enzo, to betray him.

My heart squeezes painfully inside my chest, yet I put on a smile, greeting an executive as I pass by him and head for the coffee room.

This time, the coffee is already brewed, so I just collect some and make my way out. The muscles in my stomach get tenser as I approach Enzo's door.
