Chapter 14

Mia’s Point of View

Waking up, Mia sat up straight leaning against the wall. Noticing the blanket that was on her was not the same one that she grabbed off the ground last night. Realizing Roman had sneaked in her and replaced the blankets. Her heart started to pound loudly. Trying to calm herself down. She tried directing her attention to the chains. Trying to think of a way to get free.

Mia tried lifting one boney finger as soon as she touched it. It clenched tighter. She lets out a squeal. Her realization of her being able to break free was impossible. She knows there is a way to remove these chains, but she had no idea what and how that might be.

A loud noise echoes through the hall. Mia did not move, did not even flinch. She knew exactly who it would be. No one else knew she was here.
