Ethan’s point of View

Windthrow. The clops of horses echoed through the air. Not a word is said. Everyone came to a stop. Ethan took a big breath. Taking in the fresh air and exhaling loudly.

Ethan jumped off his horse and walked toward the edge of the road towards the sea. Smelling the air. Left then right. Suddenly standing completely still.

“She’s close.” I said as I looked for a spot to sit on the ground.

“Are you sure Ethan? It would be impossible to be hundred present sure.” Roman’s voice shivered as he said this.

“I think I would know if I smelled my mate or not! I know her smell, and she is nearby.” I made my way to my feet, walking towards my horse.

“Sir, where to now? Where is the scent coming from?” One of my guards asked with confidence.
