Bewitched by an Angel

"Angel."

Angel was stopped crying when she hears his voice in a low tone. Even though she closes her eyes, she will immediately know who is the owner of that voice. The way he pronounces her name, she really knows that that’s her man, that’s the man who owns her heart and her soul. The reason why her heart beats like this. Honestly, she wants to hear it again and again.

“Josh?” she answered even though she knows that Josh can’t hear her voice. She hurriedly got out of her bed and wiped her tears. She has been crying for a while and asking her guardian angel to meet him once more.

She thought that he left her already without saying goodbye. The fear and loneliness stayed in her heart. What if the people who is angry to him will catch him? I know she can’t bear it.

“Angel,” he called her again while knocking their door that made of wood.

“Josh, wait a minute.” She opened the door and she immediately hugged her man. The tears that she wiped earlier ran in her face again. “What are you doing here? What if they will saw you—"

“Come with me, let’s get out of here.” He touched her hands and he looked in her eyes begging.

She really wanted to be with him. But even though she wanted, she knows she can’t do it. She may like it but what about her siblings? She looked at her siblings sleeping on their floor. She couldn't leave her siblings like that.

She looked at Josh and she gently touch his face. Even the darkness can’t make her eyes blocked, she really can see the handsome boy she loves. She felt for the last time his handsome face that captivated her soul. “This can’t be—"

“You don’t love me?”

“I really do, Josh. I really do. I do love you but what about my siblings, I can’t leave them like this.”

“We will get them back, I promise—"

She didn’t let Josh to finish his sentence. She covered her lips to Josh’s lips and give him a lovely kiss. “Let’s talk outside, maybe my siblings will wake up,” she said and guide her man to go outside.

They go to the shore. The sea who witnesses their love story. The sea who witnesses how she loves the man who’s in her side now. The sea who knows her heart wants.

They sat on a large rock near a row of motorboats where they usually stay. This was where she and Josh had once talked and it was also where the young man had confessed his feelings for her. If she had just the chance, she really wanted to come with him. She really wanted to leave this island and get away from like a runaway princess. She had wanted to for a long time but she is afraid to do it. She was afraid of what might happen next. She has lots of what ifs.

"You don’t really want to come with me?" Josh interrupted the silence. He tightened his grip on her hand.

“If the heavens will let me, why not?"

She sighed again. She wanted to go with him but this was not the right time to follow her own desire. She knows her family should come first.

She felt the soft palm of her man. Even in the last moment she wanted to let herself, after this she knew she would never see him again. She didn't know if he would come back to her, it was as if she was just hoping to get snow in the Philippines.

"I would love to—"

"You love to?"

"I want you to promise me that you’ll come back," she whispered. She knows that’s impossible, she just wanted to hear it from Josh. She wants to hold on to his promise. “Please, promise me.”  

“Promise, I’ll be back. I'll be back; I'll get you and your siblings.”

What she was about to say was cut off when he touched her lips to her. It was enough for her to hear his promise. She was stunned for only a few seconds and was able to respond to every movement of his lips.

She asked for nothing more than to be happy with him. If his return was the answer to her wishes, she would wait. She would wait for his return.

"Be back?" she whispered. "I will wait."

"Come with me, please."

She shook her head quickly as her tears flowed in her face again. She could do nothing else tonight but cry. Why does it hard to say goodbye to his man? And why does the destiny let this happened to her?

“Josh,” she whispered again in his ears. “Can you pleasure me tonight?”

She could feel he was shocked at what she just said. Even her, she didn't expect herself to say that. She just closed her eyes and hugged the man she loves tighter.

"I love you, Angel. I love you so much," he whispered and his hand began to travel over her body.
