เข้าสู่ระบบ~Elivira~Cold sweat broke out on my neck. I shook my head slowly as fresh tears pooled in my eyes."You do not want to remain in my pack because you finally earned your warrior badge," Gabriel continued, voice filled with pain. "You think you do not need my protection anymore? So make your call. I will hand you a warrior position here in Silverblade. Hell, I will double your pay. Name your price. Pick now: Leave with him to Moonlakeville, or stay here in Silverblade. But use your head whatever you decide."Gabriel shoved his hand into his pocket, pulled out a small glass bottle of milk and tossed it on the bed next to my leg. He turned and walked out.Cole raised a hand in an apology. "I am sorry for the chaos Elvira. We ruined your rest." He glanced toward the hallway where Gabriel had vanished, then followed him out.I sat glued to the bed, unable to speak.. the exertion from my powers had drained my stamina, and the emotional wreckage left by my mate weighed much on my chest.
~Elvira~Gabriel stepped into the room with Cole following close behind, but the beta stopped cold in the doorway as he took in the shift in his posture.I watched Gabriel’s nostrils flare the second his gaze landed on Rhys sitting close to my bed."I will take that statement I overheard by the door as a mistake," he growled with his eyes still locked onto Rhys.I rolled my eyes at his attitude.I had just woken up and his main priority was throwing a fit over Rhys’s offer?"And if it wasn't?" Rhys stood up. He threw his shoulders back meeting the Alpha’s glare head-on.A gasp caught in my throat. This voice did not belong to the calm young man who trained alongside me months ago. Had he worn a mask of submission the entire time? I shifted forward to get a better view of him as he stood backing me.Gabriel closed the space between them until they breathed in each other's air... their heights were almost matched, but his broader frame carried the weight of an established Alpha authorit
~Elvira~ "You are four weeks pregnant," Dr. Miranda repeated. "However, somehow, your wolf has been masking the scent of the pup. It's a rare instinctual defense, though I don't fully understand why she's doing it. And given the heavy blow you took to your stomach during the match…" "Woah, please calm down!" I gasped as my hands flew to my abdomen…panic flared in my chest. "I don't…” I shook my head “I am pregnant?" My mind was spinning with a million thoughts. I couldn't even process the words coming out of her mouth. "Yes," Dr. Miranda answered watching my weird reaction with a puzzled crease in her brows. "I'm sorry... isn't this good news? I was under the assumption that the Alpha should be informed immediately, considering the rumors that you are his mistress..." The word mistress stung! Like a slap. But my eyes widened in shock at her suggestion. "No!" I blurted out. "Why not?" Dr. Miranda asked bewildered. "He deserves to know. . . unless he isn't the father?" Sh
~Elvira~ When I woke up, the first thing I registered was the bright white light... then shifted my sore body on the bed. "Oh no... not the hospital again..." I groaned. Someone laughed beside the bed making me jump in suprise… it was Aria. "You really don't like this place, do you?" She asked as my eyes adjusted to the room. Does anyone? I questioned internally. A dull pain sting the side of my neck as I turned. I raised my hand to touch the sensitive skin only to feel thick strips of bandages wrapped around my throat. "It's almost healed," Aria assured me stepping closer into my field of vision. "How are you feeling?" "Thirsty," I rasped...my throat feels dry. She nodded and walked over to a small bedside table…picked up a single tablet of glucose sitting beside a water distiller…the exact same brand Gabriel had given me to restore my stamina during my earlier sets. "Did Gabriel come here?" I asked unable to stop the question from slipping… out of curiosity.
~Elvira~ "What do you mean by that statement, Taila?" I spat out, feeling my fingers curled into fists at my sides. "I mean you and I both know that I am going to win this fight... but don't worry, I won't go too hard on you." She smirked rolling her shoulders with confidence. I scoffed. We began to circle each other, our eyes locked in a staring contest... she was not my favorite person, and I sure as hell wasn't hers... but she was underestimating me…and that was her first mistake. If I wasn't holding back…if Val hadn't warned me not to use my witch powers on the mat, I would have given her a show that would shatter her pride in seconds. "You talk too much," I snapped intentionally trying to push her buttons. "Why don't we get this started, or are you afraid and hiding behind all that talk?" I had never sparred with Taila before.. I didn't even know her fighting style, and the unknown sent a little nervousness in me to be frank... It didn't help knowing she used to be a war
~Elvira~ I looked back to see Uncle Silas and Aria with Lisa and Kelvin holding each other's hands near the training hall. They were waving at me as I followed the 180 remaining warrior trainees to the back station where we will be each called on with our opponents to fight inside the hall as others watch from the seats. I waved back at them. Aria gestured with her hands that they were moving into the hall to take their seats. I nodded, mouthing a "bye" at them as they walked in through the main doors. By the time the hall filled up, there were over two thousand spectators sitting shoulder to shoulder. It was built like a stadium but an in-house one, the center stage being where the fighting competition takes place under the bright lights. This was why I was here, for this particular reason, to prove I could fight. I could feel my body hum with adrenaline, my heart beating wildly... Just then, I heard another voice speaking, a female over the microphone welcoming pa
~Elvira~ I walked toward the enrollment desk, my heart beating rapidly out of anticipation, the building was modern with glass walls and shiny floors, and it was full of recruits. There were tall, muscular men in athletic gear from other territories and Silverblade youths looking like they were s
~Elvira~ The walk to the mansion was silent. I kept my eyes down, but noticed high sensory cameras tucked into the oak branches, their red lights blinking. Silverblade had a massive security network. The pack house was a large mansion of marble and white stone, beautiful but intimidating.
~Elvira~ ~Present~ The cell door hissed shut behind me, the locking mechanism echoing down all the way down, after the chill of the cell, I felt completely weak, my muscles trembling, my legs buckled, so I dropped my hands to my knees to keep from fainting. "What do you think you're doing?" a
~ Elvira~ "I’m Lisa, and that handsome giant over there is my brother, Carson," Lisa said, her voice sounded bright and eager. She pointed toward the door where a tall, blonde guy stood. He was 6'1", with lean, functional muscle. He gave me a sheepish smile, his bright blue eyes filled with a
