Fabian seemed to try and avoid the crowd as we rushed towards the staircase. He sniffed the air as he led me down the deserted passageway. I also sniffed the air, hoping to catch a whiff of any familiar scents. As we sprinted down the stairs, I caught a whiff of his aura.

A smile instantly curled on my lips. I knew it. He was around. My heart yearned to search for my mate, but Fabian kept leading me away from him. Besides, I didn't want to let Michael escape.
