Sophia's POV

I woke up slowly, my eyes opening to the familiar sight of the bedroom ceiling. The morning light was streaming through the curtains, soft and warm. I turned my head slightly and saw Donald sleeping beside me, his chest rising and falling peacefully.

A smile tugged at my lips. Waking up next to him still felt new. Still felt special. Even though we'd been back together for a few months now, every morning felt like a gift.
