Divorce Decision (part 3)

In the afternoon.

Minerva sat on the hospital bed, her eyes on the window, watching the sunset outside. Right now she only felt an empty space, not only in her heart but also in the place where her child had grown. Minerva put her hand on her stomach, her eyelids drooping and choking:

“I'm sorry! Sorry for not protecting You. Sorry for not fulfilling my responsibilities as a mother. I'm sorry!"

She clutched her stomach tightly. The pain of losing a child was still there, still clinging to her. She should have been more careful, should have protected the baby better, things wouldn't have happened this way. She blamed herself for being stupid and weak for not doing anything good. She really is a useless person.

Tears rolled down her cheeks, her eyes were red and swollen, her hands still clutching her stomach. Even she herself can't comfort herself at this time, so how can she lift her spirits?

“Stop blaming yourself. It's not all your fault."
