"Mumma? Who was that man from hospital who helped you?" Ryan asked Athaliah while walking in the park. He was holding her fingers tightly.
Athaliah flinched at the question. She clearly understood about whom Ryan was asking. He was asking about Aaron.
She didn't know how to answer this question. She doesn't want to hide his father's identity from him. Even though his father didn't want him. Also as they are in the same town now, he will eventually get to know about Aaron and she doesn't want him to know about it from others. But she knew it wasn't the right time to reveal about Aaron to him.
Unaware of the matter that her son already talked to his father and even invited him to their little ice cream party.
She was still thinking on how to reply when Ryan again spoke up.
"Is he your friend?" He asked hopefully.
The look he was giving her was full of exc

"What the hell?! Where are you taking me? Leave my hand!" Athaliah shouted in a whispering tone at Aaron who was now dragging her in some corner without uttering any word.Aaron took her outside from the backdoor of the parlour and pinned her to a wall, from there he can easily keep his eyes on the children. Then he turned his attention to Athaliah and looked at her with intensity."I said leave me!" She shouted again.Aaron shut her up by keeping his finger on her lips. She frowned at his behaviours."Shh.. calm down, Athaliah. Too much stress is not good for you." Aaron said in a low voice without giving off any expressions.Athaliah scoffed at him."Look who's talking! The one and only reason for my stress." She snapped at him with hatred."Calm down will you?" Aaron asked while raising his voice a little.
The pain was worse. She felt like someone was hammering her head. She tossed on the bed, gently opening her eyes to stop this assault. There was no one around her. She was alone lying on the bed in a semi-dark room. It wasn’t night. She could see beams of light from the edges of the thick curtains. Why was she sleeping in day time? She never liked it unless she was tired and sick. Sick?? Yes. She felt sick and heavy. Her movements felt rigid and unbearable. The door knob clicked open and Aaron entered the room. Memories of their ugly fight stormed in her brain and she recalled the reason for her sickness. It wasn’t just dizziness or regular panic attacks that put her unconscious, it was the ugliest anxiety attack she had ever had. She fisted her fingers the moment he neared the bed."Glad you woke up." He said in a completely normal tone with a smile, taking a seat next to her on bed. "You had a very long sleep. Looks like you didn't
"Hello, ma'am." Sean greeted as soon as he picked up the call."Hello, Sean. I saw your missed calls. Sorry, I couldn't get back to you soon. Is everything alright?" Athaliah asked as she walked toward the balcony of the room to look out at the garden where her son and her da… Rhea is playing. They bonded so quickly. Ryan is not someone to be friends with someone so easily but they both clicked so well. They were playing happily and she could see Ryan being really careful around Rhea. He was fully on his guards to protect Rhea from any kind of danger that might come from anywhere. She smiled at his son's antics. He always wanted a sister. What amazed her the most is he never asked for his father but he asked if he has a sister or can have a sister. Guess he badly wanted someone whom he can protect and play with.Such a sweetheart! She thought."Yes, ma'am. I tried to reach you
"I have a deal for you." Athaliah said while sitting in front of Aaron with crossed legs. Her tone, posture, attitude, everything was screaming professionalism. Aaron raised his eyebrows at her. His face turned stony too. "Something never changes, huh?" He murmured to himself while looking intensely at her. "True. At least I never changed like the other people did around me." Athaliah said. Aaron was smart enough to catch the taunt behind her words. She was taunting him as if everything was his fault, when it wasn't his fault at all. It was all her. Still he was here, taking care of her, trying to hear himself out and accept her back in his life for his daughter even though she has a son. Also he was already pissed off at her for her words before entering the room. The way she said their moments don't matter to her, made him sound desperate to have her back
FLASHBACK"What do you want from me now?" Athaliah asked with a snarl as soon as Aaron pushed her into an empty room and closed the door from inside.Aaron turned around and looked at her emotionlessly with his hands inside his pockets. Athaliah glared at him when he didn't answer her and advanced toward the door to leave the room. The moment she put her hand on the handle, Aaron caught the hand and in a swift move he pinned her on the door.Athaliah was shocked at his stunt. She looked at his eyes with widened eyes. He was also looking at her with an intense look. He noticed her heavy breaths and felt her increasing heartbeats. His closeness still affects her. He could say the same thing for him. His heart also started to beat erratically. Her surprised eyes, blowing hairs, and heat up cheeks were doing something weird in his body and mind. That was not how it was supposed to happen. He was not
"Rhea?" Aaron asked his daughter confusingly after coming into the living room of the outhouse. "Yes, Papa?" Rhea answered pretty seriously with concentration and a careful look on her pretty face. Aaron raised his eyebrows at her and looked around the room. "Why are you standing there like this? And where is your Mumma?" He asked after reaching her and kneeling down in front of her. "I am guarding this carefully as Momma asked me to. So that no one steals it." She said and handed an envelope to her father. Aaron looked at the envelope with a frown and took it in his hands. "What is it?" Aaron asked. "Mumma asked me to give it to you. She also gave me this. See." Rhea said excitedly and showed him a beautiful pendant that she was wearing currently. Aaron immediately recogn
"I want to see Athaliah." "Ma’am is busy in a meeting and do you have an appointment?" Her new receptionist who is a male stopped her and asked. All the other employees who knew who he was to the world and what was his connection with their boss, they got rooted to their places and didn't dare to intervene. He was already pissed and now he was pissed off to some other level. He couldn't decide what angered him the most now. The fact that this guy didn't know who he was to Athaliah or the fact that she hired a man as her receptionist? Why was she hiring guys as her employees?! First that manager and now this! After ordering Luke to meet him directly at Athaliah's office, he picked up the pen drive from the smashed laptop and took his car keys and left for his house where he stays with his family. He has some things to take from his safe in his room. After tak
Her life completely changed that day. And she's not happy with the change at all. So, she is going to punish each of them who was involved in this. 'So, Sean is actually not someone he presented himself to be. He was in disguise to do some investigation that Athaliah asked him to do.' Aaron thought and unknowingly it made him happy. "What's your deal? And what's the purpose of the deal?" Aaron asked from where he was sitting without commenting anything further on her words as everything was already crystal clear to him. "Let me tell you the purpose at first." Athaliah said and walked toward him. "A girl pretended to be me in the hospital. And by the way the plan was planted, I am sure she wasn't alone in this. And… their main motto was to separate us." She took a break. "And by the deal that I was talking about, it will be the complete opposite from their intentions. So, in desperation they will obviously mak
