CHAPTER 27

AT DINNERTIME, Devance and Austin ate together with the three women they met at the tour in the Tiger’s Nest earlier. They learned that the girls were from Australia. It appeared they were getting itchy to warm their beds in private.

“Aren’t you going to do something to disturb the couple again?” Austin suddenly asked while they were eating. He only started talking when the women excused themselves to retouch their make-up in the ladies’ room.

Devance only shrugged. “Nope, I was just making fun earlier. I want to respect their privacy as long as Tri is happy. She deserves it.”

“I see,” Austin nodded.

“A lot of things happen when you’re away, Austin. I almost killed a man.” Devance suddenly remembered the night when Xavier forced Triana. And no words could appease his anger until now.

Austin’s face beamed with interest. He hadn’t told him yet about the incident.

“Why, what happened?” Austin sounded concerned.

“Xavier, that bastard, came to Triana’s room in the middle of the night….”
