Chapter 4

“RIGHT NOW, I'm no good for you. I'll only hurt you if you let me, so I'm letting you go to let you become that person you wanted to be.” Sabi niya sabay alis mula sa pagkakayakap sakin at umubo.

“B-babe... don't be like this to me,” Sabi ko. “Right now... I'm too stupid for this, I'm too weak. I wanted to be the person that deserves your love but, I failed.” Sabi paniya sabay ubo ng paulit-ulit na ikinataranta ko.

“A-are you okay?” I asked.

"Excuse me, the patient needs to rest now because at any moment we will take him to the OR because he has other illnesses besides the illness he has now according to the results," Doc said. "Please, let's leave him alone so he can rest." A nurse said before saying goodbye and leaving.

Nanghihina kong tinignan si Lightning na gaya ko ay gulat din sa narinig. But he forced a smile and looked at my eyes. Pretending he's okay. “See?” Sabi niya. I sniffed and cried like I was losing my hopes. I want to hold him closer so I hugged him but he pulled out and held my shoulders.

“I hate her! I fucking hate her for saying that!” Inis na sabi ko habang nakatingin sakanya na umiiyak. “You were the person who thought me to wait... to be patient.” Lighting said and smiled.

“Remember when we went out yesterday for dinner in your favorite restaurant and there are bunch of people in the line? I was losing my patience because I'm so hungry but then you told me that those people are hungrier than me and the food is worth to wait. It was, Mie. It was worth the wait. That's absolutely the best burger, hatdog and fries I've ever tasted.” Sabi pa niya.

I smiled after remembering those moments. It was the most stressful day yet the most special. Lighting really treasured everything we've done together kahit iilang araw pa lamang kaming magkasama. “And I'm still, willing to wait for you because I know--”

“You can't wait for my love anymore but you can wait for the true love with someone...” Malungkot niyang sabi. Fuck! My heart is breaking apart! Again and again! “Just let me go. I don't want seeing you like this anymore.” He continued said.

I blinked and tears fell from my eyes. L-let go?! “No! No! Don't be like this, I know there's cure just please don't give up. If I let you go what about you?” Umiiyak na tanong ko sakanya.

“Don't worry about me, Mie... worry yourself instead.”

“No! I can't let you suffer alone and leave you here.”

“Thank you...”

“T-thank y-you?” Paguulit ko sa sinabi niya at nagugulohan siyang tinititigan. “You found me at my worst but you still love me kaya salamat sa lahat.” Sagot niya pero nagugulohan padin ako. I tried to understand those words but I can't guess what he's trying to say and I feel scared.

I sobbed. Like, Seriously?! Is this the world of getting married to be? A fucking getting married but it's turned out into a fucking dark side of nightmares?! He obviously choose his words carefully to not hurt my feelings even more but it doesn't make sense!

"You say forever but now you're telling me all of this? Tsk!" I said and tsked while still crying. Why is my life like this? Why did the man I love leave me? Why does it feel like it doesn't last forever? She was supposed to get married, but it turned out to be a bad dream.

Is this really the world of getting married to me?! “I love you, Tsunami Lopezzoon. Please, let me go. Ayuko na talagang nakikita kita ng ganito.” Sabi niya and I just pulled him closer and hugged him so tight. I'm so broken right now and I can't do anything with it.

I don't know why I'm still confused but all I can do is to hug him, touch him and kiss him for the last time. I sniffed and pulled away, “I love you so much my Mie.” He smiled. “Not for now, but for always.” I sadly smiled at him and he smiled back. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko gently and he kissed the top of my hand.

Pakakawalan ko na ba siya? Tears fell when he closed his eyes. “I'm going to miss you...” He smiled and leaned closer to kiss my forehead. My heart is still crying and crushing. He let go of holding my hands and I slowly sauntered toward the door and before I shut it, we held our gaze for awhile.

"I don't want to leave you but because I love you I'm going to do what you say but, it's only now and not tomorrow or two because I'm not going to let you just disappear from my life Lighting-Babe. You know I don't give up like that so easily and I'm still waiting for you because you're going to marry me." I said.

He didn't say anything as I pushed the door closed. As soon as I left, I was greeted by two friends who had been waiting for me outside. "Oh? Noodles? How's Lightning doing?" Suddenly, Sunny asked.

"And why are you crying? How is he? What did he say?" The star asked me a few questions. "Can you take care of me and take care of me at home, and I'll take care of the money I left behind?" I said ignoring Sunny and Star's questions.

They didn't force me to say anything, instead they just nodded and let me go. I rushed to get out of the hospital and get out of the hospital. As soon as I got out I went to the parking lot to look for my car but it stopped me when it suddenly rained.

I closed my eyes and cried. The rain starts to fall but I don't care, it poured heavy on me. I didn't know that closure could be this painful especially when you thought everything is going to be fine.

I sauntered to my car and hopped in. I didn't care if I'm soaking wet. I reached to get my phone, I tapped the screen and Lighting's photo appeared, he's still my wallpaper. Tears fell from my eyes again as I stared at his beautiful handsome face.

I love you so much and I don't understand why do we have to hurt each other in order to deserve each other. I was about to turn the car around when I realized that I didn't have the keys and left it in the seat earlier. I got down and hurried inside.

CODE BLUE!

I was shocked when I heard that announcement and when saw the nurses and Lighting's doctor panicking and running towards kung saan ako ngayon tutungo. What the fuck happening?

I didn't know what was going on, but I just walked over to them and stopped to see them all enter the room where Lightning was now. Shit! "W-what's going on?!" Suddenly, I asked a nurse to come into Lightning's room.

"T-the patient is-- I don't have time to explain! Please, excuse me!" He replied before pushing me away so he could get out of my grip on his arm. What the hell is going on?!

I don't know why I'm so worried about what's going on right now. Damn it! I don't want to think about it, but what if something goes wrong with the lights? Bullshit! "What's going on?! "Why did they come into the room?" I cried and cried to my friends.

"We don't know, Mie. Like you, we were also surprised to hear the alarm announcement and see them all running into Lighting's room." The star replied with a shudder.

"There was a nurse the other day who came in but all of a sudden she screamed code blue and I don't know what that means but I'm nervous Mie. I was about to go inside to see what was going on when the other nurses suddenly pushed me out because it was forbidden." Sunny explained.

"That's fuck!" I just shook my head as I realized what was going on. "Shhh... Stop crying." Sunny nodded as she hugged me.

"You just have to be brave," the star said. I don't know how many minutes we've been standing here waiting for a doctor to come out-- "H-how's he?!" Suddenly, I heard a voice from a doctor who had just come out of the room.

The doctor was surprised when I suddenly grabbed his hand while questioning him. He didn't answer and shook his head sadly. "What do you mean?" I asked the doctor. But the doctor didn't say anything but to shut his mouth.
