Fifty: Phone call

I rolled uncomfortably on my bed although it was spacious enough to accommodate me alone. It felt like there was something obstructing my sleep, but I couldn't tell what it was. 

Sitting up and groaning softly, I rubbed my hands against my sleep eyes, and removed the duvet from my body. About to stand up to walk into the bathroom, I heard a knock on my door. There was no doubt that it was going to be Jill. 

I dunked back into my bed, and quickly pulled the duvet over my chest. I didn't want her to think I had fully woken up, so she wouldn't have to disturb me with some unnecessary talk. 

"Come in." I said, amid a fake yawn, and waited for her to walk in.
