Forty-five: Broken(2)

I sat on the bed in my room as I worried so much. It was already six in the evening, but I hadn't seen Jace all day. I wanted to check his room but I just couldn't tell whether his annoying wife was there. And when I went to his study room in search of him, it was locked. I also tried to call him, but he didn't pick any of my calls. All I hoped was for him to be fine. 

"Mommy." Liam looked sad as he sat on a small chair in my front. "Where's Jace? We haven't seen him since morning. Did he run away?"

I tried to smile at him. "No my boy. Maybe he went to his office." I said.

"Ok." He shrugged, as usual. "So can I go to Maria now? I still want to learn how to cook."

"Hmm," I sucked my teeth at him. "Will you give me some of the food you'll cook?" 

He grinned, and stood up from his seat. "I'll give you a lot of it!"
