Chapter 18

Alex arrived at Elena's father's house and knocked on the door even though he knew he won't be getting any reply. He used the spare key he took from Elena which thankfully she still has and unlocked the door. It opened and he entered, locking it behind him.

He looked around, and slid his hand on a table, seeing the dust on his hand which made it obvious that no one has been living in the house in a while. He walked up the stairs, toward the room that belongs to Elena's mother and opened it, thankful the door wasn't locked.

He looked around, searching for anything he could get that could be of help to him. He walked toward her dressing table and opened the drawers, his brows furrowed as he realized her things were still intact. It made him wonder where she went without carrying anything that belongs to her.

He picked a brush containing strands of her hair and put it in black nylon. He took a glance around the room one more time, sighed, and walked out.
