Alex sighed with a moody expression, shaking the glass of beer in his hand, his elbow placed on the round table separating him and Liam.

Elena hasn't really been on talking terms with him and he hated it, although he understood.

"Um, aren't you interested in what I called you here to say?" Liam questioned with a frown on his face.

Alex looked at him and nodded. "Yeah. Just go ahead. I'm listening."

Liam equally nodded. "So I did as you asked. I investigated Cora and the late Evan Miller."

"Okay. What did you get?"

"I traced them to country D where they once resided. It turns out Cora was a barren woman. Evan Miller brought a baby home one day and in no time, that packed out." Liam informed.

Alex nodded. "So, she was found by Evan Miller."

Liam equally nodded. "Yeah, although..." He lowered his gaze. "According to some neighbors, someone else equally asked who they were."

Alex furrowed his brows in confusion. "You mean there's someone out there investigating the Millers."
