What a week! Okay, you probably want an update, so here it is. Drum roll please… my mum has a wolf! She’s only shifted once and to say it was brutal is an understatement. It took seven hours for her to complete her first shift and her body is still adjusting to the changes. Dick has been making regular house calls to check on mum and make sure she’s okay. These last few months have been the most incredible months of my life, and I’m happy to report that the pack is flourishing more than ever. With Sorrell as my Luna, we have worked hard to whip this pack into shape. Since Sorrell took her oath and we completed our bond, we got straight to work. The entire pack officially participates in training. Even the children. The children have different days and times, so it doesn’t impact their sleep schedules and their schooling, and some parents were unsure at first, but the pups have taken to it with gusto, and guess who handles the pup's training? Four Months Earlier A slender, yet curvaceous woman aimlessly floats in the air like a queen sitting on an invisible throne, with a stature of 7’2” with hair as gold as the sun in the peak of summer, creamy skin as smooth as silk, and eyes the colour of mercury. Bite-Size Luna is the novella prequel to A Queen Among Alphas, book 1 in the Queen Among series. In this series I take supernatural mythology you're familiar with and give it my own spin. So, for reference, there are some things I should make clear in case you haven't read any of the Queen Among books.1. Where is my damn sneaker? I’ve torn my entire room apart looking for the damn thing and now I’m going to be late. I drop to the floor and reach my hand under my bed feeling around until my hand connects with what definitely feels like a sneaker. I pull it out and sure enough, it’s my missing shoe. “Gotcha!” I cheer. 'I can’t believe it took you this long to find a shoe. Put her out in the woods and she can hunt like no one’s business, ask her to find a lost shoe in her bedroom and suddenly she’s inept,' mocks my wolf spirit, Alma, in my mind. 'Remind me why I tolerate you?' 'Because you have no choice,' she retorts smugly. I hate it when she’s right. I love morning training. Watching my pack members gather together to help each other get stronger, not just for their own sake but for the betterment of the pack, is a rewarding experience. My dad always used to prefer training away from the pack or just with his council and it never sat well with me. An Alpha should train and fight alongside his pack, to show them that he has their back, but let’s face it, there are a lot of things my dad did as Alpha that I didn’t agree with it, but that’s all going to change. As training continues I step away and make my way around the group like always to assess everyone during training. I want to see how they’re interacting with one another and look for areas where they may need improvement if any. 'Yay, here we go again,' says Atlas, rolling his eyes. This is our least favourite part. Every time I do this, almost every female I pass goes out of their way to get my attention. Tossing of the hair, licking of the lips, batting of the eyelashes, some even being brazen enough to try and ‘brush’ past me. I hate it. Are some of them attractive?
