22: The Morning After
I turned off the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I dried off and slipped on my yellow panties and bra before putting the towel in the hamper and walking out of the bathroom. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Jarren sitting on the window seat. I paused for a moment before opening my top drawer. I pulled out some shorts and a tank top and slipped them on quickly. He didn’t say anything. I walked over and sat on my bed slowly. It was silent for what felt like hours.
“What do you want?” I finally asked softly.
“To talk to you.” He stood up and took something out of his pocket. He took a step toward me, held out the little bottle, and gave it to me. “Just hear me out. If you think that I’ll hurt you, just use this.”
