Late at night, Dave just got home from his office. The man only came home after ten o'clock at night, almost every day. Angel couldn’t help but wonder, did Dave really go to work? As far as she knows, no one works from morning to ten at night, only workaholics do.

Did Dave avoid it? Or is he… spending time with someone?

Jealousy gripped her heart and made her feel sad. How pathetic she was. Dave had treated her so cruelly, but she still had a crush on him. When Dave saw Angel sitting on the front sofa and reading a novel she had found on the bookshelf, he stopped and frowned.

“Why have not you fallen asleep yet?” he asked.

Angel looked at Dave painfully, and then looked away, trying to hide his expression. “I am reading a book.”

“Oh.” Dave looked confused as to what to say, and then his eyes hardened again. “Have you bought a dress yet? The party is this weekend, in a few days.”
