Chapter 40

Andrew called Clara again when he got home, but she again didn’t pick. It was pretty late so he thought that she might have gone to sleep. He changed his clothes and went to bed. He couldn’t sleep the entire night because he was restless and he had no idea why. He finally managed to fall asleep at 4 AM and woke up at 6 AM. He took a shower and changed his clothes and then again called Clara but her phone was off. He got worried.

He took his car keys and drove to her house. He rang the doorbell a little urgently.

Her housemaid came out and greeted him and let him in.

“Who is the idiot who’s ringing the bell-like a manic?” Angelina said coming from behind she stopped when she saw Andrew, “Oh it’s this idiot. What are you doing here?” she asked coming towards him.

The housemaid left when she was no longer needed.

“Where’s Clara?” he asked urgently.

“What?” she looked at him surprised, “Hasn’t she been with you since yesterday?”
