Chapter 39

Andrew was being questioned by the detectives as they were investigating his father’s murder. Jake came running in as the detectives went back into David’s room.

“What happened?” Jake asked Andrew.

“Can’t you see?” Andrew gestured to their father’s room, “Someone killed the old man.”

Jake fell down on the chair in shock and grief. Even though Andrew hated his father to the core he felt a pinch of pain in his heart.

“How did this happen? He was fine when I left.” Jake said.

“Life is unpredictable. Do you know where Drake is? I’ve been trying to reach him but his phone is off.”

“I don’t know he just said he was going to hang around with a friend.”

Andrew sighed sharply with a frown and call Drake’s number again. His phone was still off.

“It’s very strange. He called me a few minutes ago but now his phone is off.” Andrew said.
