Chapter 40: People went missing
Clara POV
I hogged on the chicken, gulping it hungrily and to beat my grandmother who surprisingly was winning when she was acting like some posh lady. Is she secretly using magic to win against me?
"More water please!" I ordered, slamming the empty glass against the table. I pushed a piece in my mouth though my stomach wasn't ready to take in another piece.
I might puke this all later because I was already feeling like blacking out from the heaviness that oil had. But then, I won't ever get a chance like this to eat again. They were giving off free Chicken pieces- okay not really but Esmeralda was ready to pay it all for me. All my job was to stuff every little piece of chicken in my mouth, if possible, eat the bones as well.
Well, if they were cherry bones then I would've eaten it. I sound very hungry.
The people around us cheered, hyping me up or maybe laughing at how I was miserably losing.
