Dante’s POV.

“She’s not a maid… she’s a concubine just like you.” I said out loud to Hanna, one of my favorite concubines.

I was slowly getting bored with how Hanna acted like she was a Luna rather than a concubine.

Yes… I know… I favored her for her beauty but after I set my eyes on Scarlett, I realized that there are levels to the beauty these women possess and at the moment. Scarlett was topping the list.

“Oh!” She stopped in her tracks. “If she’s a concubine like me then she would know her place as one and not be staring down our Alpha and Leader as she does.” Hannah spat, her statement was simple but it held venom in it.

I take one more look at Scarlett, if she thought she wanted to be feisty, I’d teach her a different lesson. Tonight, she would beg me to take her, then I would possess her again. Break whatever was left of her fight until she was nothing more than an obedient concubine.

“Take her out of here, then dress her up in something better and drop her off in my bed chamber.” I command.

I watch as Hanna dragged off Scarlett out of the room.

Even when the girl dressed plainly to reduce her beauty, she still looked ethereal.

”She is feisty with an audacity that infuriates and arouses me.” I said as I feel my cock hardening. I press down on it with my hand, it paid me no mind stiffening beneath my trousers.

There was something about Scarlett, something that was beyond her gorgeous breasts or the tight haven between her legs.

It was something about her personality that set me off, she wouldn’t back down no matter what.

This had me thinking, I had taken a number of things from her, maybe leaving her weak omegas wasn’t so bad.

“How dare he?” I thought.

The lady he asked to return me to his chambers walked briskly beside me.

From the way her mouth is set, I can already tell that she doesn’t care for me but I heard Dante call her a concubine.

Was it possible that she was captured and enslaved just like me? Wouldn’t that make us allies in this palace and not enemies?

I never really understood the dynamics of feminine relationships, I only ever had my omegas and the men in my life.

A cold chill ran down my spine, the men in my life. A reminder of what the demon of an Alpha took from me.

“My name is Scarlett… I’m from the… I was brought here from the Furies Pack.” I started, maybe if I introduced myself, she would be more accommodating.

“I don’t care about your name or where you come from,” she eyed me venomously before she stopped walking. “You would do well to know your place here…”

“He’s taken everything from me, would death not be better” I cut her off.

She growled. “I do not speak of the Alpha, you would do well to know your place in the hierarchy of concubines or I will make your life even more miserable. You’re not special so do not think that because you grace his bed now as his new pet…“ she spat.

Her jaw clenched in anger, “You are a fascination and when he’s done with you. He’ll return to me..his most loved concubine. The one who soon will seat by his side as his Luna.”

“Wait! You like him?” I asked, completely bewildered that a woman captured from her home could fall in love with her captor so much that she is ready to fight another victim of his, to solidify her position as his favorite.

She sneered at me and pushed me into the room screaming to the omega maids. “Take off that rag from her body and prepare her for the Alpha’s bedroom. If she has another outburst, he’ll have your head.” She scowled at me one last time before leaving.

It was obvious, there would be no allies here just enemies.

“These women must have been brainwashed,” I thought.

I had heard that the power of women could bring men to their feet, if only the women in his harem could come together maybe they’d have a fighting chance.

The omegas hand trembled as she tried putting up my hair. I raise my hands to hold hers in place.

“It’s alright. Just get me another dress and you can walk me back to his bedchamber. I won’t let him hurt you because of me.” I said not facing the omega.

She thanked me as she returned with another dress, one that was a lot tighter than I’d have liked.

She walked me in silence back to Dante’s bedchamber. As I entered the room, looking at the bed. I realized that this was my reality now, I could make no demands and I could protect no one, I was not an heiress anymore. No longer the Alpha’s daughter.

Now I was just a concubine, a singular woman whose existence was to please the Alpha by warming his bed at night and when he was tired of me. There’d be another to take my place.

I sat in the room, even when it went dark, filled with the moonlight. My eyes fixated at one spot, the thought of my omegas who I had promised haunted me.

Moana, had nearly died of thirst in the dungeons if not for my intervention. Miriam was so scared, it felt like she was going to die if left alone. If they had been that neglected while in a palace then how would they fare if they were sold?

I had failed them, I had failed what was left of my people, their princess was now confined to the bed of her enemy, too weak to fight, too small to even be a problem, too insignificant to help them.

Tears escaped my eyes, I didn’t dare stop them in their tracks. I let them fall freely. A symbol that my resolve was weakening, it would take a miracle from the Moon Goddess to help my omegas now.

I did not hear the door open, I didn’t feel him come into the room.

“What are you doing in the corner?” His words snapped me out of my thoughts. I turned to face him, my teary eyes bereft of the fire that held them the night before.

At the sight of him shirtless, anger rises in my chest, here he was again to further trample on my dignity even in my misery.

This was no man, this was indeed a monster, but if I be the daughter of Alpha Furies, I would not cower in fear in front of him no matter what.
