Irene

Anastasia leans back mid-story, fanning herself with a dramatic sigh. “Ugh, it’s hot in here.” Without a second thought, she grabs the hem of her shirt and pulls it over her head, revealing a thin spaghetti strap top underneath.

Sophia bursts out laughing the moment she sees her. “Ohhh, I was wondering why you were wearing a shirt in this heat, but now I totally get it.” She points toward the dark purple mark peeking out from under Anastasia’s top, right on the left side of her chest.

Anastasia glances down, hooks a finger under the strap, and pulls it aside to check. Then she smirks like she’s proud of it. “Your brother isn’t exactly the most gentlemanly in bed…” Her voice drips with mischief. “We tried something different, and let’s just say he enjoyed it. A lot. But it also drove his wolf insane.”

Sophia pulls a face, laughing and grimacing at the same time. “Do you realize that’s my brother? I don’t need that image burned into my brain. That’s just wrong.”

Anastasia grins, a

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 34

AlexeiAfter reporting to Mikhail about the signs of rogue activity near the far west border, I finally step out of his office. The air feels cooler out here, or maybe it just feels that way after being cooped up inside for too long. Rogue sightings are never a good thing, but they’re part of this life. You can’t erase the risk entirely. Some of them end up rogue because they had no choice. That’s something I’ve come to understand better over the past year, especially after working more closely with Jake’s packless group. Some of them are just broken. Lost. Scared. Desperate. Jake gives them a shot at something better, and since we figured out how his group operates, we’ve started to ease up a bit on our old way of thinking. But still, it’s not like we can go soft. We keep our eyes open. We stay careful.Jake and Caleb are heading out to check the area. Hopefully it's just some wanderers looking for help. If not, well… then we’ll deal with it.I’m halfway down the steps when I hear som

AlexeiMorning light slips through the window and making me realize I didn't draw the curtains last night, it bathes the entire room in soft light. I blink my eyes open, not really wanting to, because for once… I feel rested.Irene is still in my arms. She’s tucked against me like she belongs there, her face turned toward my chest, hair spilling over the pillow and brushing my jaw. My arm is around her waist, my hand resting against the curve of her hip, and I can feel her slow, steady breathing. She hasn’t moved all night. Maybe just once when she turned in her sleep but that's it.While I haven't moved at all.She didn’t cry again. Not once. No restless tossing. No muffled pleas in her sleep. Just… peace. What catches me off guard is that I slept too. Really slept. No dreams. No memories clawing their way to the surface. No flashes of Stella’s face when she told me she loved someone else. No images of the blood and chaos from the night I lost my family. Just quiet.Dreamless.I can’

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 31

AlexeiShit. What have I done? And why the hell didn’t my wolf stop me? That idiot just surged forward, all claws and possessiveness, and then retreated like nothing happened... after messing me up. I can still feel him rumbling in the back of my mind, content, and proud even like we have done something that makes us deserves a pat on the back. And that’s the thing... possessiveness isn’t normal for me. Not like this.Me and my wolf, we’ve always been protective. That’s who we are. We look out for the people we love, the people who matter to us. But possessive? It is something that we hardly feel, well until now. When we found our mate we felt that possessiveness however, I learned to control it. It was nothing like driving you insane kind of possessiveness because as I said if it were the case then Stella's chosen one would have been dead. It's painful that Stella refused me, yeah, but never like this. With Irene, though… it feels different. That growl, that kiss, that need to hold h

AlexeiIrene has already moved the rug three times, changed the angle of the coffee table twice, and now she’s standing in the middle of the room with her hands on her hips, staring at the couch like it personally offended her.I lean against the wall, arms crossed, watching her.“You’re gonna set that couch on fire with your eyes.”She gives me a look. “I don’t like it there.”“Yeah, 'cause it’s halfway to the hallway,” I point out, stepping forward. “Let’s move it.”“Okay, but-”Before she can finish, I’m already gripping one end. “You get that side. Let’s put it near the window. Feels more... cozier.”She nods, flustered, brushing past me to grab the other end. Our hands bump briefly as she reaches for the corner, and she pulls back like she touched a live wire. Cute.“You okay there?” I ask, not bothering to hide my grin.“Yeah. Just... static,” she mutters.“Sure.”There’s already a scatter of books and picture frames on the floor and now Irene’s standing in front of the bookshel

AlexeiThere’s this weird kind of pull I can’t explain. Like something invisible hooks into my chest and just tugs me toward her. I don’t even notice I’m moving at first. It’s not on purpose. My body just… follows her. Follows the feeling. She’s right there, sitting close enough that I can see the way her lashes dip when she looks down and the small crease between her brows. Her lips are parted just a little. My gaze drops to her mouth for a second. I don’t mean to, but I can’t help it. It’s like something about her pulls every part of me in, and I swear I feel that pull under my skin, like a low hum that gets louder the closer I get.I lean in a little more. Not sure what I’m doing, not thinking, not planning, just caught up in this moment that feels way too big for how small the space between us is. I don’t touch her. I don’t speak. I just hover there, close enough to catch her breath mixing with mine, waiting to see if she’ll move away. She doesn’t move away. As if she is also in
