"Hey, Mack. It's your Dad. I need you to come back to the warehouse. There's been a break-in," his dad said, sounding worried.

Mack's heart sank. He knew the warehouse housed some of his father's most valuable goods, and he had a feeling that this break-in was not just a coincidence.

"I'm on my way," Mack replied before hanging up.

He turned to his crew and yelled at them to finish up quickly. They grabbed the goods and rushed back to the car, driving off as quickly as they could.

When they got to the warehouse, a group of masked men were already inside, trying to steal some of the goods. Mack and his crew immediately opened fire, and a firefight broke out between the two groups.

Just when Mack thought he had the upper hand, one of the masked men revealed himself to be none other than his own brother. Mack froze in shock as his brother aimed his gun directly at him.

"Surprise, brother," his brother said with a smirk before pulling the trigger.

Mack fell to the ground, blood gushing out of his chest. As he lay dying, he couldn't believe that his own flesh and blood had betrayed him. The last thing he saw before his vision turned dark was his brother calmly walking out of the warehouse, leaving him to die alone.

"Are you curious on how I found you?" Heather asked to his confused face and he quickly nodded.

Mack was still looking dumbfounded at the revelation. So he didn't die? Great! Just great!Heather noticed the look of disbelief on Mack's face and decided to explain further.

"I was surprised to see that it was you. I didn't know what to do at first, but I couldn't just leave you there to die. So, I brought you back to my mansion and got you some medical attention," Heather explained.

Mack couldn't believe his luck. He had just narrowly escaped death twice in less than 24 hours. He looked at Heather with a newfound respect and gratitude. He knew that she had saved his life, and he owed her one.

"Thank you, Miss Heather. I don't know what to say," he finally spoke up.

"No need to thank me, Mack. Just remember that we're in this together. Anything you need, just let me know," Heather replied warmly.

Mack nodded in agreement and slowly sat up, wincing as he felt a sharp pain in his chest. Heather helped him adjust his pillows and handed him the tray of food.

"Here, have some breakfast. You need to regain your strength," she said with concern.

Mack smiled gratefully and began to eat. As he ate, he couldn't help but think about his brother and what had led him to betray him. He knew that he needed to find answers and get revenge, but for now, he was grateful to be alive and in the company of someone who had his back.
