Betrayed

Heather gasped in shock as she saw who was in front of her. Mack? What was he doing here? Wait, don't tell her he was the owner of the modeling company she wanted to work for? Her mind raced with thoughts until Mack cleared his throat, bringing her back to reality.

"Hello, Heather," he greeted her. Heather almost jumped at the sound of his voice. Mack and Mark both looked surprised at her reaction. Heather looked from Mark to Mack and then quietly sat back down on the chair.

"Hi, I mean, hello," she stuttered, and Mack tried to hold back a laugh at her reaction. Heather pinched herself to snap out of it and stopped herself from cursing aloud.

"I'm here about the proposal Mr. Mark asked of you. That's why I'm here, Miss Heather," Mack said in a professional tone. Heather quickly nodded.

"I'll do it. I have to be on my way now," she quickly rushed her words, much to Mark's dismay. Wait, did Heather just accept to model for the company? Or was he dreaming?

"Heather?" Mark called out to her, and she turned to him and smiled nervously.

"You're really going to model for his company?" Mark asked, and she nodded quickly. She hastily picked up her bag and literally ran out of the office. Mack chuckled.

"She's a drama queen," Mack said, and they laughed it off.

"So, I'll pass you the schedule through text, okay?" Mack said, and Mark nodded. He extended his hand for a handshake. Mack shook his hand without hesitation and smiled.

"It's nice working with you, Mr. Mark," he said, and Mark nodded. Mack stepped out of his office and let out a sigh.

"Something about that lady seems familiar," he muttered, then shrugged it off before getting into his car and driving off.

Meanwhile, as soon as Heather got out of the company, she started hitting her head with her hand.

"Heather, what was that for? Why were you stuttering?" she almost yelled at herself.

"Ugh, why does he look so intimidating? I mean, he's more handsome than last night," she muttered, realizing her words at once, and hit her forehead.

"Heather, get your head straight," she muttered. Her phone vibrated, and she took it out.

•MURDER ALONSO TONIGHT•

She read the message and giggled. Killing people was what she knew how to do best.

Well, Alonso was also a top crime master in the Mexican crime world. An underboss, to be precise.

Heather quickly got into her car and drove to her apartment. As she walked in, she went straight to her closet and started picking out her outfit for the night. She wanted to make sure she looked her best for the mission.

MGLOBAL LIMITED

It was a magnificent building, a heaven on earth. This was Mack's company. A car pulled into the driveway, and a pair of shining shoes stepped out. Alexander got out of the car, exuding a full dangerous and intimidating aura. He stepped gently into the elevator that led to the receptionist's office.

"Good morning, sir. How may I help you?" The receptionist, a lady in her late twenties, asked him politely. Alexander smiled at her.

"I'm Alexander. I'm here to see your boss," Xander said, and the receptionist checked the schedule given to her before looking back at Xander.

"Sir, do you have an appointment with him?" she asked, and Xander chuckled.

"I don't need that. Just let him know Xander is here," Xander said, and the receptionist reluctantly picked up the land phone and put a call across to Mack's office. After a few minutes, Xander was allowed into the elevator that would take him to Mack's office.

Xander stepped out of the elevator and walked straight to the secretary, a lady in her early twenties.

"Hello. Can I see your boss, please?" Xander said, and she looked up. She almost screamed but stopped herself. He was drop-dead gorgeous. How could a man be this perfect?

"Miss?" Xander called again, and she snapped out of her reverie.

"Huh! Sorry, sir. My name is Amber," she said, and Alexander chuckled.

"Nice name, but I want to see your boss urgently," Xander said, and she was embarrassed.

"That way, sir," she said, and he nodded, then winked at her.

"See you later, pretty," Xander said, and she blushed.

Xander stepped into the office to see Mack focused on the system in front of him, with a frown on his face. He went to the coffee making machine and brewed himself some coffee while Mack didn't notice his presence. Xander cleared his throat.

"Are you so engrossed that you can't even notice someone coming in?" he asked, and Mack let out a sigh.

"I was lost in thought," he muttered.

"Is this about Terminator?" Xander asked, and he nodded.

"I've thought of something though," Xander added, but Mack's phone vibrated, and he took a look.

•AN EXCHANGE AT THE SEAPORT TONIGHT•

Mack let out a sigh.

"What's that?" Xander asked.

"Another mission," he muttered.

HEATHER'S MANSION> NIGHT

As soon as Heather was dressed and ready, she headed out to the location where Alonso was supposed to be. She parked her car a few blocks away and walked towards the building. She could see a few men standing guard outside and knew she had to be careful.

She put on her sunglasses and confidently walked towards them. "I'm here to see Alonso," she said with a smirk on her face. The guards looked at her suspiciously but let her in.

As soon as she was inside, she took out her gun and made her way to Alonso's room. The door was locked, but Heather was determined to get in. She kicked the door, and it flew open.

Alonso looked up in shock as Heather walked in. "Who are you?" he demanded.

Heather didn't say a word. She simply raised her gun and fired. Alonso fell to the ground, dead. Heather quickly left the building and got into her car. She drove off, feeling exhilarated.

"That was easy," she thought to herself. But little did she know, her next mission would not be as simple.
