Rosemary’s Pov
“Hey little one…” Andy greets me – his warm affectionate voice fills the void space I lay in. Come to think of it , this place felt too lonely to be by myself – maybe that is the reason why I did not come back to our cave after he had left , because it felt as if one of the key factors were missing. His sudden appearance fills me with the blissful peace we once had – this make me cheery. However , the fate I am destined for still makes me gloomy. I shake my head at him , but offer him a sad smile. He returns my gesture by offering me a smile back – his smile however was filled with hope and lots of affection and love.
“I would say make some space for me…but I guess we both have outgrown this special place…” he says , humor laced in his voice. I giggle at his statement wondering how funny it would look if we both were trying to fit in here. I watch him intently , his eyes shine with unshed tear

___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov Twelve days have passed – two days are left remaining until King Alexander revisits us to get his answer. Each day that passes makes every one in the kingdom more and more hostile and stressed. My father tries to put on a happy face , he tries to act brave and well put together but I know that he is just as fearful as I am…maybe even worse. Every day , for the past twelve days I have been watching the preparations my father has been making for the most feared king’s return. From my balcony every day , I watch the way the soldiers ensure that the wall is firm and that there are enough wooden spikes on the top of it. ___________________________________________________________________________ Andrew’s Pov “There is ABSOLUTELY no way that Rosemary will be getting married to him !!!” The king fists the giant round table that is in the middle of the room. The tiny sculptures representing the kingdom , the soldiers and the enemy rattle around on the table by the unexpected force that the king has hit the table with. The king stares daggers at one of the council members – the council member who had considered giving Alexander the princess. “My lord…Do not think of it as abandoning her – I just simply stated that we should let him believe that she is marrying him and when his guard is down we can strike…” though he makes a good point , it will be a too big of a risk. ___________________________________________________________________________ Andrew’s Pov A normal path way comes in to view – the only thing that makes this path way different from the rest is that there are footprints on them. I slowly walk over to the first foot print , analyzing the substance that causes the left behind print. Though it was hard squatting down with the princess clinging to my body , I did it. The first foot print leading away from the direction it is coming from is the lightest of them all ; however , the substance being used was one that I knew of very well. As a soldier , I have fought various wars and won - I have trained and had been trained , and during these two events all soldiers are bound to see such a liquid flow through them as it leaks from their wound or bust lip. ___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov I feel Andrew tense up as we both approach the fountain – his hold on me tightens. I will admit having Andy hold me and carry me makes me feel so much safer – I know that in this position no one will be able to hurt me because they will have to deal with Andy. It feels as if though we three are expecting to jump out from the fountain – a feeling of the unexpected suffocates us as we get closer and closer to it. As we approach the fountain , I see that the water is red – that is odd , the water is normally clear and is not red. A chill runs through my body as I fear that it is blood – my thoughts are then confirmed. A big red blood stain dries in the sun at the fountains edge – the stain a big splatter spot of red. ___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov I find myself kneeling on the rough soil , Andrew kneels next to me as well. We both are digging a hole with our bare hands – it takes me back to the little kids we were. We would be in this same position , digging our way to the other side of the world. You can only imagine how sad we were when we realized that that is impossible. Nevertheless , we still kept digging – it was like one of our ways to relief our sadness or our anger. We would pretend instead that we trying to escape our reality by digging our way out of our troubles. After a certain age , we kind of stopped it. Instead we just buried it like every other adult would. We continue digging – it has been a while since we have spoken. We dig deeper and deeper , trying the dig the best hole we can. ___________________________________________________________________________ Alexander’s Pov I try so hard to hold my laughter in – thankfully I do. I watch my little precious girl crying her eyes out as she buries her pet. Honestly speaking…I do feel my heart ache watching her hurt this much but I know it is something I have to do in order to make her mine. Once she is mine , nothing will ever harm her again. The laughter I feel erupting at my throat is because of her little boy toy that sits next to her. He is trying so hard to find me , but he does not realize I am closer than he thinks. I sit crouched up in a bush , not to far from them. If he opens his eyes just a bit , he has clear view of me – however , he fails to do so as he is comforting my girl. I feel my resentment for him grow as I recall the way he carried her to the fountain – his hands holding her , having her against his hip as if she was his baby girl.

___________________________________________________________________________ Andrew’s Pov The day has finally arrived – ever since the roosters first crow this morning , a death like aura surrounds our land. Before dawn was upon us , I lay awake in bed mentally preparing myself for what is to come today. Sadly , no matter how much I prepared myself – or attempted to prepare myself – I had no clue what would happen today. I had no idea who would lose their lives , who would betray us , who will fight by our sides and who will stand victorious. All that I could do , is do my best to keep Alexander from getting what he wants. I will lay my life down to protect the princess and the people that are of this land – I would fight till my last breath to see King Alexander fall to his doom. I stand by my window , I lean against the wall. I watch how the sun rises – it’s beautiful rays of sunlight reminds me that of the two people

___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov Every one is silent – they all look to me. I cower away , shrinking myself so that I may not feel their heated eyes on me. Every one wants me to give an answer of their choosing – how am I to please every one while pleasing my self as well? I look at each of their faces – each one has a different expression , each one has me begging me to give an answer that pleases them. Alexander smirks my way , his eyes are fixated on my face – daring me not to look away. I fear to turn away from his piercing eyes – his eyes making sure that I know what he will do if I make the wrong decision. I visibly gulp in fear as I imagine my loved ones being killed in front of my eyes. He looks pleased by the way I gulp in fear as he smiles and bites on his lower lip. I finally pull my eyes from Alexander’s direction and I look to a furious Andy
