Rosemary’s Pov
I internally smile a sneaky one – knowing full well that he has no choice but to do what I ask of him.
“Andrew is to come with me…” I blurt out. I lower my head , to afraid to see the look on both Andrew’s and Alexander’s face. Though I know Andrew cares deeply for me , right now I feel like he is too upset and angry with me to come with me. I realized that I will be going to a foreign land after I am too be wed to King Alexander – I would have to leave as I would be Queen ruling at his side. How could I go with out any one that I am close to – obviously I could not take my father for he has a kingdom to run. Usually the mother’s of the brides family accomplish the bride in to the foreign land but then returns home after a few weeks , and from then on wards the mother leaves her land every few three months to see if her daughter
___________________________________________________________________________ Andrew’s Pov It is now dusk – King Alexander’s carriage and his soldiers await for the princess and I to make our appearance at the front of the castle. I stand at the stair case patiently awaiting for the princess to make her descend from her room. I am lost in thought until I see the King enter the hallway and make his way to me. I examine him and my heart breaks as I see the sadness and loss that is evident in his eyes. When he nears me I bow my head in respect and in pity – however , he sees it as a sign of respect rather than a sorry excuse to show sympathy. “Andrew…” the king calls my name – I thought he was going to go upstairs to see the princess but he stops in front of me with destress in his eyes. I lift my head from it’s small bow and I make eye contact with the king – awaiting for him to tell me what it is he wants to tell me.
___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov I hear the guards of my castle , sadly blow me a farewell with their trumpets. I peek my head out through the curtains in this beautiful and comfortable carriage , to see a group of the people who took care of me wave me off. I saw the women excessively cry at my departure ; their tears wiped away by a white cloth that dries their sorrowful tears. The men look towards the carriage with a stone like look , but their eyes show much sorrow. I watch as my father wipes away a tear or two that fall from his eyes – however , once the carriage passes the castle gates , he turns around and walks away. With that little action , I knew I was in uncharted territory – I knew that I now had no one to lean on except Andrew. Andrew was not permitted to sit with me in the carriage , even though I really wished he could. Due to our difference in s
___________________________________________________________________________ Andrew’s POV We began our journey to our new home – well our temporary home. However , with the plan my father so aggressively shoved my way ; not even considering the risks that it may have. Did he even consider the princess’s safety? Sure , he wants to save her but how sure is he that Alexander will not hesitate to kill her if necessary. Did he consider the lives of our soldiers? Sure , they may have the upper hand due to ambushing Alexanders troop – but what my father fails to realize is that Alexander has always been one step a head of us this whole time. There has to be some sort of way , some sort of source he has that is telling him every thing he wants to know about what we doing or what are our plans. I feel the sun harshly shine down on us – our foreheads leak with dirty sweat. The leather that I sit on , burns me through my clothes.
___________________________________________________________________________ Andrew’s Pov My mind curious about the ways of the King – not my King , but King Alexander. I wonder if he has changed his mind about war or the princess – I wonder if in the space of a few hours , if he has changed his mind about ever being involved with us. How ever , I know deep down that can not be true. A man like him could never change , especially if he is good at who he is and what he does. I slowly guide my horse to the right , following his directions. Is he taking her back home? I wondered as he took the road that was leading us back to the castle – how ever , some thing about it all just did not make any sense. Why put us through all of this trouble? Why put the princess in such trauma , only to leave her back home? It just did not make any sense. “Take this map…When you reach
___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov The night rolls in as slowly as the night before – I pull the curtain aside staring at the the beautiful night sky. The stars beautifully twinkle , they look like little dew drops that lay on a flower petal in the mornings – how ever , they twinkle away. I see them twinkle like the night before , the night before that and the night before that. It has been three days and three nights since Andrew and I have left our home – our palace. It has been three long , exhausting day and three long . extremely hot and uncomfortable nights. How ever , I try not to complain much because I know that I have the easy while every one else is suffering outside. I look through my window and my eyes lands on a dying fire – the soldiers have burnt the fire to ensure that every one has had a cooked meal. I watch all the soldier’s loudly snoring as they are hu
___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov I know I am dreaming – it is not hard to figure that out. I know that I am dreaming be cause in my dream I am sitting on my old bed. Oh lord , only know do I realize how much I miss it – after spending sleepless nights on this carriage seat. Though , I must admit I am asleep right now but guaranteed that I only fell a sleep a few hours ago – If I were to wake up this second , it would still be night out. So I decide to stay a sleep , pass my time with this dream. Back to my dream – I find my self sitting on my old bed. I look to the glass stained doors , and notice that the stars are out just like they were before I had slept. How ever , these ones seemed to have a home and comfortable feel to them. I sat there admiring the stars like I always do , hoping to see the moon…I was smiling from ear to ear , until I
___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov I sit up straight , surprised by the announcement that Alexander had given me. How could we be there already – well , we did just travel for a while. I am thankful that this travelling is over , but I dread that it is not home that we are slowly approaching. It is sadly my new home – my new hell or heaven. How ever , I doubt that it would be heaven – it lacks some thing but I just do not know what. May be…it is love? May be…it was my family , or that safety I used to feel. Who knows what a waits me here – who knows what I will have to face here. I begin to neaten my self for every one in the kingdom is waiting for my arrival. I start my tucking the stray hair behind my ears – I feel around my head looking for some thing so that I can clip my hair with. Only when I feel nothing , I recall that I had thrown my c
___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s Pov We near the castle – my nerves get the best of me. I feel a sudden urge to run away – run far away and hide from every one. I know that I seem like a coward , but I did not know I would feel this nervous about entering a new land – to stay in a new castle. I sit up straighter , trying to show that I am confident but deep down I know I am not. I hear the trumpets get louder and louder as we approach the castle. The more I hear it , the more my heart beats in fear and nervousness. I begin to hear the cheers of the crowd – their cheers are soothing as I realize that by their cheers , they are not as fearful as I thought they would be. I feel a cool breeze blow by me – the curtains in the carriage fly from their original places . I take this chance to look at the crowd , to see if they are as horrifying as I imagined them to be. When I mov
